Way too early but I'm picking anyway

#27
#27
East
UGA (offense sets SEC scoring records, defense sets records for most points allowed)
UF (would be my #1 pick 'cept I hate 'em)
USCe (no Lattimore no more, Clowney leaves team to run for Governor)
Vandy (beats UT in Knoxville, fans try to tear down the goalposts but there are only 6 of 'em)
UT (good new coach bounce, not enough gas for schedule. Finally decides to change fight song! :p)
Mizzou (welcome to the SEC, part deux)
KY (let's go to Keeneland, basketball season can't be that far off!)

West
LSU (Bama's bored)
Bama (Bama's bored)
A&M (Johnny's bored)
Ole Miss (As good as they'll get......ever......until next season)
Arky (Trainwreck......please, no more LizHoney2u vids!!!)
MSU (Where else to rank 'em?)
Auburn (Fans TP Jordan Hare, AD is sent to Siberia. Malzahn's wife makes really bizzare appearance on Christian talk show, part deux)

I see that you've been drinking that "Shine" up in Dawsonville again. Hope you get to hear Rocky Top about 42 times when we play your Dawgs and when we play the Commode Doors and USCe. Wouldn't care to see Bama finish 2nd or 3rd!

East
UF (Boring team, will win a lot of low scoring games.)
UT (The rise of Smokey X)
UGA (Defense collapses, starting with a 35 point loss in Neyland, Richt back on hot seat.)
USCe (He who shall not be named loses his coaching mojo, finally.)
Vandy (Ground coming up so fast and some one forgot to pack the golden parachute. Franklin leaves sinking ship after season to coach some non-descript new PAC-20 team like Utah State.)
KY (Great season for KY.)
Mizzou (Paper Tigers get ripped.)

West
A&M (Johnny Football feeds entire stadium with only one box of popcorn and one hotdog, scores touchdowns like a resurrected Jim Thorpe.)
LSU (Salvages tough season by crushing Bama in Tuscaloosa.)
Ole Miss (Beats Bama in Tuscaloosa, but somehow loses to Auburn the following week.)
Arky (Boring football played without passion, but they do manage to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa 2-0.)
Miss State (Apparently still in SEC.)
Auburn (Only win is against Bama.)
Bama (Loses all games. Saban turns out to be the lost son of Kim Jong-Il and Tammy Bakker. After a fire in a secret performance-enhancing drug lab under the stadium, which is staffed by the mutated attempts at cloning Bear Bryant, the program receives the NCAA death penalty.)

You can pretty much take this to the bank.

the following things will occur this season....

steve spurrier retires

bigvoldaddy has a heart attack while watching a tennessee game and filming a youtube video. films a youtube video and provides postgame commentary from his hospital bed.

the new sec tv deal will infuriate the rest of the country

james franklin leaves vanderbilt to take another job. sets a volnation record for the start of new thread within a one minute timeframe.

lane kiffin is fired

the fulmer debate extravaganza thread makes a return

hatvol comes back to volnation bringing new material and insults for all. kate beckinsale still remains the avatar.

tennessee will make a bowl game. people will complain about the bowl game tennessee is invited to.

alabama will sign a recruit from the state of tennessee this year. people will blame it on the speech that was made in athens, tn.

sometime before the season, someone will start a "when did we hire butch jones?" thread. this is thought to be the dumbest post of all time. however, in another thread during the year, a heated discussion will cause someone to claim that freak is not a vol for life.

You should stick to picking your nose instead of picking the future SEC standings...You'll have better luck

UGADawg4Life, are you expecting your defense to set a school or conference record for most or fewest points allowed? If you hope to establish a new conference record in the latter category, that simply will not occur. You cannot surpass the achievements of the '39 Vols, who were the last Division 1-A team to complete the regular season without giving up a point.

I think maybe you need to re-read his post. He said that they would give up the most points, not fewest. Also, if you're counting bowl games, the 1938 Duke football team holds the record for fewest points allowed. They gave up 7 to USC in the Rose Bowl, while we gave up 14.

It's funny how op stated how they will have the greatest offense in the sec. Aaron Murray is garbage and the defense will be weak. South Carolina will be the team to beat in the east. And butch jones will get his first marquee win against Georgia. #book it #8-4

Vanderblow has not beaten us in consecutive years since the 1920's. It is NOT happening this year. It is one thing to predict them to win in Knoxville this season. It is quite another to base that prediction on last season's game. For the millionth time. Dooley KNEW he was done at UT well before that game. The staff knew it. The players knew it. The deck could not have been stacked any higher in Vandy's favor. That will not be the case this time around. Butch beat them once with Big East talent. Now, it may be an ugly win against them this season, but I promise, it will be a win nonetheless.

My 2013 prediction:

SEC East:-----------SEC West:
1)South Carolina-----1)Alabama
2)Georgia------------2)Texas A&M
3)Florida-------------3)LSU
4)Missouri------------4)Ole Miss
5)Tennessee---------5)Mississippi State
6)Vanderbilt----------6)Auburn
7)Kentucky-----------7)Arkansas

My reasoning east:

USCe is going to have QB play that will match with UGA, while that last 2 years UGA enjoyed a light weight schedule back into playoffs in 2011, this is the year for USCe to prevail.

Florida lost too much Defense to make a difference with QB play average comparing to USCe and UGA.

Missouri gets there #1 QB back for his senior season, games they should have won some games in 2012(VANDY) QB was out for injury and only lost to Vandy by 4 points 19-15

Tennessee I believe has the players to beat most teams, the struggle to find a starting QB will hamper the 2013 season, look for a return in 2014 being contention for the east.

Vandy will return as Vandy, Starters QB, RB and strengths on defense has graduated, they will see the same struggles as UT finding a QB that will move the ball, but will also lack a consistent RB to help the process.

Kentucky is still 3 years of recruiting away to get even with the east.

I think Ole Miss will leapfrog LSU in the next few seasons. They have a better coach than LSU does and He can recruit with the best of them

The AJC makes it sound like UGAG will be national title contenders every season,VERY TIRESOME!

UGA is a national title contender every season. I'm guessing they've won 2-3 preseason NC's in the last decade. Unfortunately they also have to play games to win a real trophy
