Check out Vescovi’s assist to turnover ratio.

When posters are chronic team bashers, especially right after winning at Rupp, they are obviously trolls.

Not disagreeing. He gets a lot of assists. In my opinion, that's all my opinion, he isn't in the top 5 players on the team. That's all. I think if we field the best 5 players he isn't out there.

I just left 247 and joined here. This is the first thread I post in and am a basher. I never mentioned Barnes.

He is the best spot up 3-point shooter on the team. Kind of adds a **** ton to the mix. Doubling up Springer or Keon and SV will make defenses pay. KJ and JS weren’t necessarily skilled at finding the open shooter on the perimeter earlier in the season,

If you're talking about skill..then maybe not...if you're talking about value to this particular team when it comes to winning....you may be a bit wrong.

My only complaint with SV, tonight, is that he passed up on some good, open looks in favor of worse looks/decisions with the ball. Springer and James did it a couple times, as well.

100% agree on all points. I do think he is the best spot up 3 shooter on the team but that's not how he is being used. I don't think he's being used in a way that makes us our best team. To me, if you are gonna play the frosh you have to compliment them. And in my opinion there are other players that do that. I think SV can be an incredible weapon off the bench. I am not suggesting we get rid of him. I was only talking a starring 5 that I felt can run other teams down.

Barnes....I've been telling them that for 6 or 7 weeks.

Plus, nobody starts the break like Vescovi, even if he doesn't get the rebound, his head is up and made a couple of long passes after catching a pass from the rebounder that ended up in points and/or FTs

I was worried about Bailey shooting too much and taking TN out of the game. Instead after making a couple of big scores he didn’t turn into a ball hog.

Yeah Keon also had a quote about finally doing what the coaches have been instructing. Hopefully this game serves as the confidence booster to do that with more regularity

I agree he adds value. Again, not saying he can't or shouldn't play. In my opinion, if we are talking about fielding our best 5 ad a unit I am not sure I'd put him out there. Obviously I am just a fan, not a coach, and was expressing my opinion.

No worries. Didn't mean to come across combative but after seeing some of the other replies to your posts I can see why I did seem that way. I too believe I can construct a "best 5" without him, but I also believe I could construct a different "best 5" with him but just change our style of play. However, like you said, neither of us are on the UT coaching staff haha.
