Vandy game will come down to coaching and motivation.

No doubt. We cannot afford to pay anymore TE coaches. We're stuck with what we got. Lets hope Butch learns how to coach in the SEC because right now Butch "dont get it". That doesnt say that he wont. I still think we can get Vandy and KY. If we dont this is an epic fail of a year. Hope the boys coming in are as good as advertised.

You're crazy if you think BJ is gonna make a coaching change after saying he had the best coaches in the nation just a couple months ago. They've been together for years and aren't going anywhere. Unfortunately.

Some of it is coaching. Jancek has not been able to put any sort of package together to defend against the mobile quarterback. We first saw it against Florida, and teems have been exploiting it against us all season.

He doesn't seem to be able to adapt and change strategies in response to the offensive tides. Instead he tries to just ram through whatever game plan he created that week regardless as to how the opposing offense is playing. That might have worked at his last job, but that won't cut it in the SEC.

Name a dozen teams ranked lower in recruiting that has a schedule even closer to ours? Tell me one team that has played Al and Oregon?

Nope. Our overrated lines will be gone and replaced by players who actually respond to coaching.

And every skill position will be better, as will team speed across the board.

More of a lurker than a poster, but I can't help but wonder where this lack of talent is on defense that everyone refers to? Maybe depth, sure I can buy that. But McCullers, Jacques, AJ, Moore, McNeil, Miller, Maggitt, Coleman all had substantial cred coming in here. As did.........oh.........I see. Nevermind. Carry on.

Are you drunk? Give the dude time. You all have played a ridiculously tough schedule, and you have little depth. UT are on their way back. Give CBJ time.

We've played three top 10 teams in row. Two of the three games were on the road. Two of the three games were started by a true freshman who never started before.

This team is no better than last years

It wasn't expected to be better unless you were fooling yourself. There is a reason why almost every pundit said before the season that 5-7 was probable for this team. Virtually the same players on the defense and we lost almost all of the playmakers on offense. But as always, fans were saying it was all bad coaching last season and those same players could win 9-10 games with the new staff.

UT Defense = painful. Poor tackling, poor schemes, poor pursuit, poor body lean and poor angles.

Even the ESPN announcers were commenting on how horrible we were.

If Muschamp is available, then I say.......

The D was terrible but lost in all this is the fact that our O has regressed as well. How many drives against Mizzou and Auburn today were killed by dumb false start penalties? We used to be one of the most disciplined, least penalized teams in the league.

I'm not calling for anyone's head. Love Butch and what he's doing and I think recruiting will help the situation immensely...BUT, I'd be lying if I didn't point out that our team seems to have hit a plateau in their progress. That might be the extent that this group is capable of, but what I haven't seen is the effort and discipline that was there earlier in the year.
