Didn't know Howard was out.

Lane and Neal are serviceable. North will be a playmaker.

Only way we win is with perfect defense, some turnovers, and our O-line dominates.

I have yet to see anywhere besides volnation that pig is out??? Sorry if wrong but can someone provide a link? and not to a volnation thread please.

If some if you guys ever listened to the coaches interviews you would notice that they repeatedly point out that north keeps running the incorrect depth on his routes and that is the disconnect in getting him the ball. I guess it's just easier to blame Worley, though.

If incorrect depth means out running Worleys 40 yard max, then yeah.

These posts remind me of FULMERS last several years. Defense on field for 6 minute drive, offence three and out, defense for 8 minute drive all the while hoping and wishing for turnover or some form of luck to win the game!

I am not really trying to compare us to the New England Patriots and certainly not comparing Brady to Worley. That said, NE doesn't have playmakers. But, they methodically move the ball down the field with dink and dunk. Their best playmaker is now catching for Peyton.

Amendola and Vereen are out tonight, but I guarantee you will see them move the ball. If we take this approach, we can compete. Just manage the game, make the correct throws, and don't turn it over.

We may not be able to score in less than 2 minutes or make a 75 yard play. But, that doesn't mean you quit and try not to use what you have.

Pretty sure most teams have less than 5 "playmakers". Hell, Bama has two. Cooper and Yeldon and they are going for their 3rd straight title. Playmakers don't win games, exceptionally coached teams and players going in with the mentality of playing as one unit do win games on the other hand.

If Worley can't get within 10 yards of North while being under a little pressure, the rest is pointless to argue about and last time I checked, Oregon is bigger and WAY faster than AP/WKU so...

Have you watched the games?

North is 100% going to be a play maker. The last thing a head coach wants to do is bash his QB in the media. Therefore he shifts a little blame on Worley and a little blame on North.

I agree that North could use some work on his route running, but I can also think of multiple times this year that if Worley would have delievered an accurate pass... GIVE HIM SIX! :bow2:

Go VOLS!

Watch the throw to Johnathon Johnson last week. Worley threw it more than 10 yards behind the line of scrimmage for a 37 yard completion. That means that the ball went ~50 yards. On a side note, he barely stepped into the throw as well. Therefore, your "40 yard max" comment is incorrect.

Good Lord. Every team has injuries. It takes time to build depth.

Oregon having more playmakers than UT isn't exactly a revelation.

The 1998 team had injuries. Jamaal Lewis, Al Wilson. Of course, we had more depth and we also had played under the same coaching staff for several seasons.

Robinson was injured but Dickey led us to a Sugar Bowl win.

SpringBokVol said multiple times in the Injury Report thread that pig is out. Any confirmation?

I thought Jamal going down was going to be tough for us, not knowing that Henry was a beast.

Overall, though, I recall that team staying relatively healthy.

...and this is why we will be in trouble Saturday. The only two potential playmakers we have, Young and Howard, are out. I'm not even sure what's wrong with Howard--who only touched the ball twice against WKU. We don't have a single guy with big-play potential on the field, though, yes, we could score a long TD if there is a breakdown of pass coverage or a missed tackle or two by the Oregon defensive backfield. And we are the most absurdly unlucky team with injuries. Maggitt hasn't played in forever. Young plays one game against little Austin Peay and breaks his wrist. On and on it goes. I feel the ill wind blowing our way again, I'm afraid.

No playmakers....is this true? If this is true sir then....

50 yard max then. Better?
