Good grief! Don't even watch the game on Saturday, just stay in the corner on your computer sulking. This is a team sport, they only need to be headstrong.

Sorry did I miss the OPs big revelation about Devrin Young being a playmaker? When did that happen (not flaming but DY not a playmaker)

Go back and watch the throw. He was at mid field and barely had an opportunity to step into it. Lets see how far your "noodle" can throw without stepping into it.

I watched the throw which was right around 45-50 yards and he did step into it. The fact is that Worley has less than average arm strength. Every QB we have had for the past 15 years could make those throws other than Simms. I dont care if people hate that others hate Worley because it will cost us games eventually. You cant always blame route running. The QB has eyes for a reason. Timing comes into effect with shorter routes not Go/Post routes. Almost every throw is short or the WR has to reach behind for the ball.

Who said Pig was out this Saturday? I haven't heard anything?

"Starter Pig Howard was held out of practice Wednesday with an unspecified injury.

Howard was not in pads and was working out gingerly on the sideline. Coach Butch Jones didn’t mention Howard’s injury during Tuesday’s media session and Jones doesn’t speak to the media after Tuesday.

Howard should be considered questionable for Oregon at this point."

He also wasn't listed on the depth chart.

...and this is why we will be in trouble Saturday. The only two potential playmakers we have, Young and Howard, are out. I'm not even sure what's wrong with Howard--who only touched the ball twice against WKU. We don't have a single guy with big-play potential on the field, though, yes, we could score a long TD if there is a breakdown of pass coverage or a missed tackle or two by the Oregon defensive backfield. And we are the most absurdly unlucky team with injuries. Maggitt hasn't played in forever. Young plays one game against little Austin Peay and breaks his wrist. On and on it goes. I feel the ill wind blowing our way again, I'm afraid.

We have some potential play makers that need to stand up and make it happen. Hopefully Worley does'nt need shorter and slower receivers.

I certainally wouldn't say we have zero playmakers as this is absurd, now I would say we don't have any playmakers as we had last year. Hello, Butch just got here, he's working night and day to recruit the big time playmakers that we desperately need. Don't go and jump off the bridge just yet, what did you expect in his 1st year? We're picked to win 4-5 games and we've already won 2, so relax there is a lot of football yet to be played. Who knows we may yet suprise some folks.

I'll just say this. Oregon has maybe it's best team ever. Yet they have no chance of ever winning a national championship. Tennessee, once we get our house in order, will win another championship. Thus, I'm glad I'm a Vol fan and not an Oregon fan, regardless of how cute Oregon's offense is this year.

:search: CBJ is searching for playmakers to stand up & not to be knocked down or to be scared to play the game each week.

This may sound absurd, but I feel like our TRUE playmakers will never even touch the ball Saturday. I have to say that our playmakers are on the O-Line. If they play their butts off, we have a chance to keep the game close. I am thinking we have to have 3 TD's on drives of 10+plays. Add in another score, then we might just have a chance.

How does that happen at Florida?

Muschamp as a defensive-minded coach trickling down through recruiting and approach to the offense?

Recruiting misses. They have several wrs and rbs who should be playmakers. Andre Debose was supposed to be Harvin 2.0 but faster. He is out for the year and hadn't done much up till now on O. There are several more there too. They have speed but no ball skills.

The 1998 team had injuries. Jamaal Lewis, Al Wilson. Of course, we had more depth and we also had played under the same coaching staff for several seasons.

Robinson was injured but Dickey led us to a Sugar Bowl win.

i do tend to forget, that it is CBJs and company's first year and the players are learning yet another scheme

Wasn't North just on ESPN top 10 plays?

Are you implying that just because North made a great PLAY and was on SportsCenter Top 10 PLAYS of the Day that he's a .....gasp..... PLAYmaker???

That can't be. OP just said we have zero playmakers.

And in your armchair you should stay as I seriously doubt you know how to evaluate talent. Go run your poor mouth on another board.

If incorrect depth means out running Worleys 40 yard max, then yeah.

Do you believe what the coaches actually said about it, or do you think they are lying? Just interested.

BTW, The miracle catch in the WKU game was thrown off the back foot @ to be sacked.

Marquez North is a playmaker. We just need a quarterback that can get the ball to him in stride on his go routes...... Paging Riley Ferguson ..
