We stink.....period

BleedingTNorange,

Whoa dude. I think you are taking the Vols basketball criticism a little too personal. I enjoy reading your insight and knowledge of basketball, but I think if we are all honest with ourselves, we have seen some ugly offensive basketball. Poor shooting, too many turnovers, and no rhythm at times. That being said, we have played some stellar defense and won some ugly games.

get a clue, this is the internet. the fact you even bring up wagering means you're dilusional. see my original posting about dilusional tennessee fans (though not all are)

I am confused. Is he delusional because he doesn't think we will finish so poorly or is he delusional because he wants to make a wager online?

Anyone know if something is wrong with Tobias Harris? He has not been getting any PT with the Bucks.

not tall enough. I hear the Bucks are running 4 centers at once to pick up all the bricks Ellis throws up each game.

That team was brutal, but Allan didn't play on that team. It was his dad's one-season tryout to prove he could win without his son. He failed miserably and was fired as a result.

Quting my own post is a first for me I think. Just wanted to add, while Allan Houston was not on that*team, Ed Gray was a freshman and would have been great at UT had he stayed. Went to JUCO after Houston was fired and then signed with Cal, where he was Pac-10 POY I believe as a senior. Was drafted in the 1st rd and then flamed out in the pros. He had a really good FR season at UT on a really bad team though.

I am interested in seeing what Derek Reese adds to the team. Stokes needs the two man game to get his points and offensive rebounds. Somebody has to take the lead with that, maybe Reese can help with it. I know McRae is doing much better, but Richardson is the key to this team getting to the tourney. They need to run more offense through him. His D and rebounding are strong.

I suggest you all listen to the Kevin stallings postgame comments after this loss tonight, where they played around the corner from vandy, yet mtsu drove in from down the road and took over the arena.

Gray would help this team immensely. Hell, I'd take him or Michael Brooks.

MichAel brooks was probably the best pure. Shooter ever before Lofton. His range was anywhere between mid court and the goal. Too bad no 3 pt line when he played or he would have probably averaged 20+ points a game

Yeah, that was pathetic wasn't it? Candy's campus is what? 2 miles down the road? And Little Middle has 10 times the fans.

I saw UT play MTSU and Candy play Western Ky a few years back there in Nashville. Candy had the least amount of fans of anyone and their campus was 2 miles down the road. Hilarious. What was even better was that UT won and Candy lost to Western Ky. I loved it.

Brooks was deadly. Tony White was a helluva player too. We haven't had a consistent outside shooter/scorer since Lofton.

Heck, Jajuan James could really help this team out.

LMAO r u friggin serious?

Have you watched Kentucky against some of the teams they've played this year?

You're bi*****g about us playing ugly, you obviously haven't watched them.

Truth. Anyone who would say we will lose to Kentucky by 30 this season has obviously not been watching basketball at all this season.

You mean Smith I assume? He would be a God-send on this team from a talent and skill-set perspective.

JaJuan Smith was by far the better basketball player between he and Lofton. While Lofton's shot was the best I've ever seen/remember in my lifetime, if I was recruiting guys, I'd pick Smith. Those two were a helluva lot of fun to watch together.

We will struggle offensively quite a few times. But as last year showed, we will stay in a lot of ball games. We have only been blown out to OSU. Heck last year, we lost all of those bad games early and then took UK down to the wire at home.

I just went to the Memphis-Lipscomb game last night, and it was brutal. Bad basketball. Lipscomb had 24 turnovers and shot 50% from the FT line and lost by 6. Each game is different.

And even in that blowout, Ok State was kept under....60? That right? Don't remember exactly, but the D was great that day, too. Just horrific offense. I'll take my chances with this D over a Pearl team that tries to outrun everyone and loses by 30+ in an SEC tournament game.
