Yeah I don't really know what they're waiting on at this point. The drops are a huge concern. Send the kid down the field and let's find out.
I heard on sports talk earlier this week he’s in the dog house. They didn’t specify, but said on and off the field issues. Take it for what it’s worth…. Which is not much

The fact that this guy isn't seeing the field at all given the struggles of the other receivers is beyond ridiculous. We need to actually rotate bodies at that position until we find some guys who can perform when the lights are on.

This team could have put up 40+ points if not for the numerous drops. They spend all year talking about how deep and talented they are then play the same four guys.
I’d like to hear from the folks who work with him everyday - they might have a better appreciation of where he is relative to this team’s offense

That pancake block in the second quarter he threw was nasty!

It would have been a pic six. Terrible play calling to be backed up and throw that long opposite hash throw. We got lucky on that one. It hit the Kentucky guy right in the hands
That was my point we got lucky. But yes I did mean bare minimum even if he is slow or stumbles it's 15 yards the other direction but quite possibly scores. Georgia's athletes would 100% house it. We have to clean that up.

I’ve always found it hilarious that Tennessee fans make this argument about the guy who played Joe Milton over Hendon Hooker.

It wouldn’t kill you to think for yourself occasionally.
It has nothing to do with "thinking for yourself". That's a remarkably stupid comment. Whether YOU like it or not, neither you nor I see practice every day as Heupel does. I know I know at least as much as you, but neither one of us know as much as him. We don't have the same info stream. This isn't making a facking life decision for either one of us.

I’m sure when he is able to block like they want that we will see more if him. There is more to it than catching passes

So THROW HIM THE BALL!
Genius…🙄
This ain’t Madden. Heupel doesn’t have a remote control on the sideline to tell Nico where to throw it. I saw significantly more of Matthews yesterday than I have all season against SEC competition. If he keeps getting more snaps like that, the targets and catches will come.

I’m done with Nimrod, more drops than catches. Give those reps to Matthews.
We have 2 5⭐️WR's in Staley and Matthews. You'd think that through Spring, camp and 8 goes, we'd see more implementation of those two into the offense. We have our starters, but I'd like to see them get more reps. It is a long season and I feel everyone could stay healthy and rested with more WR's getting reps.

I know it’s a different position but I remember reading about the same frustration with Sampson his freshman year and people worried he would transfer. Matthews just needs time. He’s just a freshman and was apparently hurt throughout fall camp so he missed a ton of practice and development time.
They say the same with Thornton

Matthews got a decent amount of reps but no real opportunities. They went to him once but the defense was on top of him before he could do anything. They need to get better about giving guys a chance to make plays in games. If Cam Seldon isn't hurt then he will likely transfer, MM could be right behind him.
Hope you're wrong but afraid you're right
