As a percentage of the fanbase, it's miniscule. There's always going to be bandwagon fans, especially when you're winning

UT should have never built TBA. A 15,000-16,000 capacity fieldhouse would have been plenty sufficient

I was a fan of Pearl. I viewed him as a coach. I couldn't care less about his personal morals, as sleazy as they were. However, I also am a long time die-hard fan. I've only owned season tickets for one season (I'm not a wealthy guy at all) but have attended as many games as possible each year. I sat through several games during the abysmal 5-22 campaign of Wade. It was embarassing.

I will be in attendance at future games, when I can. I take my 3 year old to every game that I can get tickets to. There are some fans who liked Pearl but stay true to Tennessee Basketball instead of following Pearl down whatever road he travels.

So the "fake" support we had during the Pearl era brought UT "fake" money? Being a long time UT basketball supporter I have cheered for the team no matter who was the coach. CCM has my full support and I hope he does better than BP because that would be great for UT. Yes- it is more fun when we are winning with or without BP's theatrics. I get the feeling BP haters on VN would rather have seen UT basketball program lose games while BP was coach simply because of their hatred of him. That is not "real" support of UT and is an example of hypocrisy at its finest.

how can anyone have a problem with frontrunners? that means you are having success. it looks like true colors are being shown right by the OP

the game should be a place people want to be seen, thats just another symptom of success.

we have known all along you'd have been more happy having losing seasons in half empty gyms while sittin on KO's knee. not me, i enjoyed the winning, and expect it to continue under coach martin

This is the one thing I'll miss about the Pearlophiles. Each time I thought their stupidity had reached an apex, one of them would come along and raise the bar. I hope they do the same for the Jerkwater State boards when their deity gets back into coaching at the level he deserves.

Even better. Of course, I can't blame the Pearlophiles for being frontrunners. ADD afflicted people with 75 IQs can't be expected to have much of an attention span. They're too busy running out to buy the gear of the latest trendy team. I bet the Grizz website is overrun with them trying to use their 200 dollar limit secured Discover cards to buy t shirts right now.

did i touch a nerve? you need to get out the house man. no need to be so defensive on the internet. most of us went through this in 1996 or so when the internet blew up .then moved on. its been 15 years, no need to stay glued to a forum 24/7. it aint goin nowhere.
