We'll Find Out Next Year How Much Real Support The Basketball Program Has.

Your advice was to let it go. I think I'm doing a fine job of disregarding it. Now, get back to creating championships for Bruce Pearl. I'm hoping you can conjure up an SEC Tournament title or a Regional championship.

I already did. Refer back to post #310 for a few facts of what Pearl did for UT basketball. Apologies again if it was to positive for you.

God have mercy on Cuonzo's soul if he resembles any kind of similar success.

Long live MEDIOCRITY!!! Go 90s GO!!!

The Volunteers have had 18 NCAA tournament appearances with an overall record of 12-17. A record of 9-7 in the first round, 3-5 in the second, and 1-4 in the regional semi finals. They have also been invited to the National Invitation Tournament 11 times. They have won nine regular season SEC championships in 1936, 1941, 1943, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 2000, and 2008.

Let's see. when did Pearl arrive?

Somebody start a thread on the next test.
Putting together a starting line up for next year without Harris and Hopson.

So there are two regular-season SEC champions every year?

This thread was supposed to not have name calling (as if he ever follows that rule) so I will just ask

When did hat play or coach d1? I believe the answer is never. Mark Pancratz has more experience coaching at a high level.

He also called Lon Kruger a friend and claims people in the AD listen to him. I love the Martin hire but hat said he couldn't get his friend Lon to interview here bc the money was not good enough? Bull.

It's seriously bordering on stalker status at this point. Dude has you on ignore. You're having an impassioned argument with a wall.

West & East for the dimwitted...

Look at how many before Pearl. I'll point it out for the sheep, it is only 1 East Championship in a 20 year span.

Desperate for any angle.

Zzz.

Pearl still has one SEC title in six years. No amount of babble changes that. That means his percentage in winning the league was lower than Jerry Green's.

I noticed that. Hell, some years, half our division wins the SEC.
I think the SEC should just go ahead and be Little League and give everyone a trophy. That way, we could dispense with all of that nasty business of keeping score.

Okay.

Jerry Green was and is actually a great coach so I'm not sure how he got into this.

Oh yea, we debate above average...

Bruce has three more Tourney appearances than Green. Then bring me Green's appearances as #1 in the country. Then bring me Green's average attendance record. Then bring me Green's overall Div. 1 record.
(161-106) to (231-99)

And then I'll show you which coach I'd rather have....

(Even though I appreciate both)

I guess the 2 that Jerry Green won are somehow now not being considered. Interesting.

Yes.

Since Division 1 basketball in the SEC is now compared to Little League.

I'd love to see that debate in any SEC basketball team's locker room.

Comical.

Not near as comical as someone trying to pass off tying with South Carolina as an SEC championship.

What's comical is your obsessive idolizing of a coach that has a lower winning percentage at Tennessee than Jerry Green.

What the...

Umm, show me the 2 in this list and I'll give him credit it for them.

I feel much less appreciation for the '07-'08 now that I'm being told that we apparently shared the SEC title with Mississippi State.

I was under the impression that when it says "1999" and has Tennessee out from it and then has "2000" with Tennessee out from it combined with my recollection of watching us win the East those two years meant we probably did it.

Not idolizing anyone. Not saying Bruce is the best thing EVER for UT athletics. Just stating facts. Just wondering why the OP and his sheep must keep beating the dead horse that this topic is.
