Not true. When I hog hunt I use my AR-15 and my FK Brno as a sidearm. It depends on your post site and what you’re hunting. If we’re ground bound, it’s my weapon of choice. In a tree stand, I go bolt action

No, I wouldn’t because the words of the constitution would not change. The constitution was put in place as a last defense to tyrannical government. So it absolutely meant that we have the right to MATCH the weaponry. There is no argument to that and it’s not up for debate

You wouldn't because as long as you do not know what those words meant to the founders, those words mean whatever you want them to mean. That is how some people like it. We both know that there are people who read 5A with no regard for the intent to preserve the right to own firearms, but the flip side is that some peep read it with no regard for its other purposes. Again, if you will spend a few months reading serious scholarship on the subject, you might find yourself with a more complete perspective.

Having said that several AR makers offer models specifically aimed at hunters (Varmint/predator/hog hunting has heavily shifted that direction) and there's sufficient demand for multiple manufacturers to produce dedicated medium game ammo.
