There is no such thing as an “assault rifle”. There are just differences in actions.
I hope you’re never in a situation where a gun is needed but I have full confidence that your opinion would change if you ever were and a CCW carrier saved your life. What you guys don’t understand is we took on the responsibility of protecting YOU as much as we did ourselves. I would bet my entire life salary that those people at the night club in Orlando would’ve killed to have someone shooting backIf the definition is more than 22 rounds in 5 seconds, then no.
If the definition is 22 or more rounds in 5 seconds, then yes.
If I got to define it, yes it would be an assault weapon.
“Selective fire”. Meaning you can select semi automatic or fully automatic. Which means this is a rifle not available to us but only military. Still no such thing as an “assault weapon” no matter how the author describes it in his own words
Reagan was the first President to speak out against civilians owning those type of weaponsI think there is an accepted definition for assault rifle*. Assault "weapon" is a carte blanche term invented by people with an agenda to influence ignorant hoplophobes.
*Basically an analogue of the STG 44. Since selective fire is required to meet that criteria it moots the current discussion unless specifically addressing NFA weapons.
I deer hunt with a semiautomatic browning. 270. Under Biden's proposal, it would be placed under the NFA. The AR platform utilizes many more calibers than the 223/556. The 556 is still a popular caliber for varmint hunting. I would say the AR platform is very popular in hunting hogs, probably the most popular platform. It would be a small percentage of overall avid hunters
