Please show me where I've said he deserves anything. I'm just sick and damn tired of people crapping on everyone who tries to point out something positive that the man does. You want results? So does everyone else. Whether you like it or not we're not going to have any results to talk about until Sept. In the meantime we can discuss recruiting, or press conferences, or who is going to start, or whatever. All we have to go on RIGHT NOW is what he has done UP TO THIS POINT.

If you're going to accuse me of something, get it right. I've never "crapped" on anyone for being excited. I pointed out the other posters who accused myself and others of being lame, not real fans etc. because we either a) had the wait and see approach or b) had serious doubts about the man. I have no problems discussing anything until then. I'm giving my opinion; I really could care less what you think about it. You can disagree with me until then. But don't act like I'm putting anyone down, I'm pointing out what's been said and responding to it. I will continue to do so.

For the record, I hope he proves everyone's doubts wrong.

These all answer the question what does bUTch get?

Talent, the SEC, not being Dooley, Jalen Hurd, home late, little sleep, love from the fans, our Maxims, shirts printed with said Maxims on it, recruits to recruit for our university, twitter, TKJ, coffee from a thermos that he brought from home because that just seems manlier than buying coffee from Starbucks (completely made that up, but I want to believe it), chest bumps at UT basketball games, how to coach up players, how to not make excuses, how to build a house (brick by brick), former players to love him, a brand new facility that makes even Satan jealous, the keys to a proud Tennessee football program, Vic Wharton, and lastly to coach our Tennessee Volunteers. Go Vols and Go Coach Jones.

Let's remember a Dooley led Vols team recently beat a cbj led team with his recruits. I'm all for cbj and I think he is making good choices. Let's wait and see if he knows when to call time-out, everybody on me! Let's see if he knows how to out coach Saban's defensive coordinators 3rd adjustment! Let's see if he can outpoint the Gators then hold the lead and contain them until the final tick of the clock! We want and need a caoch who ''gets'' it...that being a coach who has the energy, wit, guts, and class to be an SEC coach.

I would think just about any coach who comes in and embraces Tennessee traditions "gets it." There is a whole nother debate about whether or not that will translate to wins. The main thing is it certainly can't hurt.

If Jones gets "it" in year 3, and provides us wins in October, then I'm fully on board.

That being said, his approach to mending the program and fanbase is definitely one I am on board with, and hope it continues going forward.
