What game you personnally attended is your favorite

'04 Florida will always be tough to beat. Wish I could have gotten to experience '98 Florida in person. That was about as electric an atmosphere as you could ask for.

I was at '96 Bama, and would list it up near the top as well, but I was too young to really appreciate it at the time.

Honorable mentions:

'98 Vandy- Holds a special place in my heart almost solely because it was funny to see us take over their stadium like that. Plus it capped off an undefeated regular season. It was fun seeing everyone celebrating on the field after that game.

'01 LSU- For a great performance by Kelly Washington and the haunting atmosphere of it being the first game played post 9/11.

'02 Arkansas- For the experience of witnessing the longest football game i've ever seen in person.

'09 Georgia- Pretty awesome atmosphere in this one once we got up big, and stayed up. I felt like we were turning the corner in this one. Unfortunately this is probably the last game where we happened beat someone that actually mattered.

Miracle at South Bend

I have a funny story about this game even though I didn't attend this game. Back in the day before DVRs we would record the games on VHS. If Tennessee lost that game, we would use the same tape to record the next big game and if Tennessee won we would keep the tape. Anyway, we were using the same video tape that we used earlier in the year to record the Florida and Bama game, both were games that we lost. We were down 31-7 and ND is driving to score again right before the half when dad says "It must be the damn tape" He takes the tape out of the VCR, takes it outside, tosses it up in the air and shot it with a 12 gauge shotgun. Right after that, we block the kick and Floyd returns it for a TD and the rest is history. That day my father gave his all for Tennessee and I still to this day believe he won the game for Tennessee.

1985 Auburn - Tony Robinson's air show

1985 Alabama - Dirty play ends Robinson's career, Dale Jones helps Daryl Dickey hold on to the lead with an unbelievable interception.

1996 Alabama - Jay Graham's long td followed by Leonard Little dislodging the ball fom Freddy Kitchens on the final play

1998 Vandy - Game was in Nashville but so much orange was there it felt like a home game

1998 SEC Championship - All the other unbeatens went down earlier in the day, it looked like we were next

The 92 Florida game. It rained like I've never seen it rain before. There was an excitement, like UT was on the verge of big things. Todd Kelly was all over the place. Heath Shuler was at the start of his career. The Mose Phillips TD. Was an absolute blast.

In a Vols win? 09 vs Vanderbilt, first UT game I attended and it went down to the wire. I had a blast, even if it was Vandy.

In a Vols loss? Music City Bowl, 2010. I had a great day prior to the game, and the game up until the ending was awesome. It was my friend's first game ever, and I told him he'd never witness another game like that in his life.

2001 at the Swamp with my Dad and my 2 brothers! What a game!

2003 went back again with my Dad and brothers, we won again!

My dad passed away couple years later, I won't be back to the swamp again.

1. 1998 (99)National Championship game
2. 1986 Sugar Bowl with Miami
3. 1970 Florida v Tennessee game-That traitor Doug Dickey returning to UT after selling out the Vols to Florida in the 1969 Gator Bowl. Kicked their butt; included one of the loudest crowd noises ever heard in Neyland. Reaves and Alverez were smothered by UT defense.

1959. Vols defeated #1 LSU 14-13 when we stopped All-American Billy Cannon from going for 2 after their second touchdown. That has been memorialized in Vol lore as "The Stop", credited to Billy Majors, Wayne Grubb and Charley Severance.

Billy Majors and I were good friends and double-dated that night after the game. He'd had his bell rung in an open field head on tackle of Cannon earlier in the game and didn't even remember "The Stop". We did have a great time that night.

Andy Kelly's last game as a Vol - November of '91 vs. Vandy. I think we won 44-0, but don't remember exact score and haven't looked it up.

We ran a fake field goal that game (up by quite a bit already) and threw a TD pass to Shazon Bradley, a big beast of a Linebacker.

Kelly left the field to a standing ovation and was replaced by a young freshman named Heath Shuler. Man I wish he hadn't left early.

AV

PS. Kelly had no where near the talent of Bray, but he sure did know how to win.

That was the first game I attended. Played on November 30, 1991 and had a 12:30 kick-off. That is a day I will never forget my blood turned orange on that day.

I've attended close to 40 UT games, and this one is not even close.....1982 vs Alabama.

Imagine that our losing streak going into the Bama game this year was twice as long as it really is now. Imagine having no recollection of the last time UT beat Alabama, and now you're a freshman at UT living on campus. Imagine the same feeling that our inconsistent .500 team really didn't match up with the top ranked (#2 ranked back then) Crimson Tide juggernaut coming to Knoxville. Imagine falling behind early in the game only to stage a comeback to take a late lead with time on the clock. Now, imagine winning with a last second interception in the endzone. Imagine storming the field, ripping down the goalposts, and watching the goalposts being carried all along the Strip all night long.

Yeah, that's the greatest game I've ever attended, without a doubt.

For me, it would have to be the 2001 Florida game in the sewer, er, swamp. It was my daughter's sixth birthday. We had three tickets in the UF law school section. I had a seat and my wife and daughter were seated 3-4 rows behind me. It was not a nice place to be for my wife and daughter, but what a sweet game! We rode the shuttle bus from a local mall and it was incredible being on that bus with all those Gator fans with big smiles on our faces!!! I bought one of those scorecards outside the stadium and it still hangs in my office.

Honorable mention for me was the 1974 game vs. Clemson. We beat them 29-28 on that famous two-point conversion catch by Larry Sievers. The man became a legend on that catch! I was in the POTS band and I was so excited I could barely get a note out of my sousaphone to play Down the Field. :dance2:

missed that one, but '85 Auburn, '86 Miami (Sugar Bowl), '95 Bama, '98 Florida and '98 Arkansas would be my top 5 in no particular order

1. 1999 Fiesta bowl. Seeing them win the NC was awsome, Tee Martin is still my favorite Vol.

2. 1998 Florida game. Very satisfying.

3. 1990 Florida game. One of the first games I attended. 45 to 3.

4. 2002 Citrus bowl. Beating Michigan. Jason Witten burning the Wolverines secondary. Also got to take the family to Disney World that year.

5. 1996 Citrus bowl. Peyton torching Ohio State. My father taught me to have a great disdain for Big 10 schools.

I also have a fond memeory of beating Auburn the last year we played them annually and a few times UT beat down Bama but those are the top 5.
