"-UGA, MICH., TCU, OSU is complete BS. Bama lost two games by 1 play and almost lost 2 more games by 1 play "
.
UGA zero losses
MICH zero losses
OSU one loss
TCU one loss

Bama two losses. 1 < 2

.
Losing big to SC is apparently a deal breaker for Bama fans, but they think they should jump TCU who lost in OT in a bogus game yet was +2 games better than them lolz

This does beg the question after watching three of these teams having muffin schedules. If we aren’t giving a sh!t about strength of schedule anymore then why not load our ooc schedule with easy wins. Seems to work for them. We are going to have to go through bama and Georgia and lsu all in conference. This already pretty much guarantees unless we play lights out we will not have another opportunity like the one we threw away this year.

Do some research....
SOS
UGA - #5
TCU - #8
Michigan - #9

I realize this is to celebrate the whining of the Bama fans - but some of those comments are spot on.

Show me a team that did not fall at least 1 spot when it lost.

Now TCU may surprise folks and be competitive - but if the following happens:

- UM destroys TCU OR it is close game, UM wins and then number 3 happens
- UGA destroys OSU
- UGA destroys UM

We will be back to - these were not the 4 best teams. One of those three need to either win or play UGA closer than TN did - otherwise it will be true that the selection committee did not pick the best four teams.

Comparison to other SEC team’s schedules, it does usually seem like there was crack cocaine involved in making UTs schedules, especially since 2000 plus… Why make it so freaking hard? I think that was the formula in 98.. but like a lot of other things, that is no longer the case

TCU didn’t fall because their resume is better than Ohio St and Alabama, in addition to their only loss coming by 3 points in OT to a top 10 team in the conference championship. It’s a little different than losing a regular season game.

If we go to a 9 game schedule which is likely based on Sankey's comments, we should never schedule a FBS team in a P5 conference again.... Especially if we ditch divisions....

Most teams will go to an easy out of conference schedule since it will be extremely difficult with a 9 game schedule in the SEC.

A loss is a loss. That coupled with losing to a team they previously had beat by 10. They regressed! I am fairly certain that if you look at the history of the rankings, a team that lost has always dropped. And this is not like you had number 1 losing to number 3 last year when Bama and UGA traded places.

Bottom line - they did not drop TCU to avoid the UM verses OSU semi-final game. If the team in waiting had been same Bama or TN, TCU would have dropped to 4. The committee failed in this regard and caved to the pressure of avoiding certain games instead of just ranking them like they should.

TCU should be playing UGA and UM should be playing OSU if the committee had ranked them like they should have.

In fairness to Bama, TCU didn't play anyone of UT's or LSU's caliber

It's pointless to compare records of teams that share no common opponents
