I had the top 4 exactly as the committee does. All of you saying there is a bias are just trying to argue for no reason.A loss is a loss. That coupled with losing to a team they previously had beat by 10. They regressed! I am fairly certain that if you look at the history of the rankings, a team that lost has always dropped. And this is not like you had number 1 losing to number 3 last year when Bama and UGA traded places.
Bottom line - they did not drop TCU to avoid the UM verses OSU semi-final game. If the team in waiting had been same Bama or TN, TCU would have dropped to 4. The committee failed in this regard and caved to the pressure of avoiding certain games instead of just ranking them like they should.
TCU should be playing UGA and UM should be playing OSU if the committee had ranked them like they should have.
Not according to FPI. TCU does have the highest SOS out of the playoff teams though according to FPI
They supposedly had the best QB against Tennessee and LSU too and how did that work out for them? Best QB doesn’t always translate to winning. Ohio St has a better QB than Michigan but they got waxed. TCU has a better QB than Kansas St and they lost.Noted. Just making a point that Bama would be a dog only to Uga. AND, Likely beat both Osu & Tcu. Because of having the Best QB NOW playing. Sorry.....

USC dropped because they already had a loss to the team they were playing against. You lose 2 out of 2 to the same team, sorry you are going to plummet. And they not only lost but got thoroughly dominated and manhandled. TCU was a different case. They have the same record as Ohio St but played a tougher schedule with more quality wins. They deserved to be ahead of Ohio St and I’m glad the committee didn’t show bias in that instance.TCU should have dropped due to the loss. USC did, UGA did last year, TN did, OSU did the week before, Clemson did, Bama did, etc. etc. etc.
OSU should have moved up above them to 3 but that would have forced a big 10 semifinal. It is obvious the committee did not do that to avoid the Big 10 semifinal matchup. That is all I am saying.
If TCU would have dropped at least 1 position - Bama or anyone else would not have the "they didn't drop" like everyone else who lost did.
Alabama and TCU do have a common opponent. Alabama barely beat Texas after knocking out their starting QB. TCU won convincingly (the score was deceptively close), completely shutting down that same QB.In fairness to Bama, TCU didn't play anyone of UT's or LSU's caliber
It's pointless to compare records of teams that share no common opponents
Next year they are gonna know what things are like without Bryce Young. They would have had more than two losses this year without him. I think they are in big trouble next year without himThey forgot what life was like before Saban came around. I remember them having multiple 3 and 4-win seasons. Don’t tell their fans that
