Saban is correct in ALMOST all of his gripes. The playoffs isn't about the best 4 teams, it's about the 4 most deserving teams, and that probably needs to be fixed. TCU doesn't belong in the playoffs, they are going to get waxed, but they deserve it. The 2nd best team in the brutal conference that is the SEC at 10-2 should be in the playoffs.

And that team.... is Tennessee.

They supposedly had the best QB against Tennessee and LSU too and how did that work out for them? Best QB doesn’t always translate to winning. Ohio St has a better QB than Michigan but they got waxed. TCU has a better QB than Kansas St and they lost.

Both Losses came as last second plays. ( in the Opponent's Super Bowls) Bama would prevail in the semis vs tcu and Osu; as would Tennessee WITH Hooker. Don't keep fooling yourself. Be Objective; instead of Biased. ps----NOBODY hates bama more than I do.

If we go to a 9 game schedule which is likely based on Sankey's comments, we should never schedule a FBS team in a P5 conference again.... Especially if we ditch divisions....

With Texas and Oklahoma coming in, there is no reason to schedule hard ooc games. That's for teams in weak conferences.

I am being unbiased. Alabama is an extremely undisciplined team. They had nearly 20 penalties vs Texas and Tennessee. Doesn’t matter what kind of QB you have, you are just asking to lose playing like that. We don’t know for certain if TCU or Ohio St would lose to Alabama this season. I love whenever people play the hypothetical game like we know without a shadow of a doubt these teams would beat each other. Truth of the matter is, we don’t know. Did anyone with a sound mind think South Carolina would drop 63 on Tennessee? That would be a resounding “no”. That’s why the games are played on the field and Alabama had their opportunities and lost two games.

I realize this is to celebrate the whining of the Bama fans - but some of those comments are spot on.

Show me a team that did not fall at least 1 spot when it lost.

Now TCU may surprise folks and be competitive - but if the following happens:

- UM destroys TCU OR it is close game, UM wins and then number 3 happens
- UGA destroys OSU
- UGA destroys UM

We will be back to - these were not the 4 best teams. One of those three need to either win or play UGA closer than TN did - otherwise it will be true that the selection committee did not pick the best four teams.

I think the biggest reason TCU did not fall is the committee didn't want to reward OSU by moving them up 2 spots from 5 to 3 without playing a game.
