Losing 3 times to Kentucky in FOOTBALL over 15 years is still kind of humbling when you see how much we dominated historically (Florida fans sadly probalby feel the same way about UT). Maybe not that surprising given those were horrible 15 years for Vols football. Even lost to Vandy few times during that period which is far worse than occasionally losing to Kentucky, SCjr, or Mizzou (all traditional bottom feeders). Need to get back to where good years are again defined as being in the hunt for SEC until late in the year which typically means having to beat at least one of Bama, Georgia, and Florida (and everyone else we play in SEC). Great years should be when we win 2 out of 3 of those (ie last year). Pretty much like it was back in the 90's for the most part.

Gary pushes the teams that bring ratings. That comes from management.
UT with Peyton was ratings gold in the 90s. We were good ratings until Fulmer's final season.
Us and Florida were the BIG ratings draws of the era.
Gary was pretty high on UT until Tebow's freshman season. Then Gary was smitten and Saban resurrected BAMA. It was also a huge factor that we really stunk up our CBS Game of the Week appearances from 2010 to 2020. Not much positive for him to talk about, except 15 and 16.

Gary's shock collar was probably zapping him pretty good since the beginning of last season. He has had to be more positive about the VOLS again.

They are bad at NIL, and they don't seem to know how it works.
Blaming Stoops for their own lack of buy-in through NIL is a bit blind.
Honestly, Stoops isn't their biggest problem.
His recruiting is not up to the standards of SEC champs, but there is no force of will from the fanbase to make it better through budgeting and facilities that are powerful enticements, in addition to NIL.
The football fanbase is mushy.

UT represents the next step in their football program’s development. It is reflecting on a multi-decade competition in which UT has dominated. They are tired of losing and want desperately to make up the distance between the two programs.

They have concentrated so much on BB that they now find out that they have two overpaid coaches. They don't get it.

Yes. He's an average QB with WRs who up until recently haven't been able to catch balls that hit their hands. If you can't see that after seeing Joe the last couple weeks when wrs have been catching, I can't help you.

Last years WR were 3-6 options, now trying to be 1-3. Those two scrambles for 1st down conversions to Thornton and White were next level, average QBs don’t do that.

I think Milton's stock, and our offense, will be rising rest of the season now that Hyp has discovered rolling him out some and let him have a run/pass option takes better advantage of his abilities, know matter how good or limited you think those are. As Majors said above, he is a good passer on the rollouts.

If you were paying attention you would see we have abandoned 90% of our passing game and the play calls tell you why. CJH didn’t suddenly decide he doesn’t like downfield passing anymore.
