What other message boards (Tennessee’s remaining SEC opponents) are saying about Tennessee (bye week edition)

Arkansas
-Tennessee and Ole Miss look better than Texas - especially if Ewers remains limited through the rest of the season.

-We get to show OU how it's done week after next. We should beat Tennessee.
Awfully confident of them for a team that took 5 turnovers to get a 10-point win over a bad Auburn team

Alabama
-Tennessee’s defensive line is going to make a lot of offensive lines look bad this year.

-I’m still not impressed by Tennessee. If Oklahoma could’ve thrown in that game, they would’ve murdered Tennessee.

-Oklahoma exposed Tennessee’s offense and we should absolutely roll in Neyland this year.

-Tennessee is a paper tiger. We’ll all see them crumble soon enough.

-I really think Tennessee is better on both sides of the ball than Georgia, I expect a much tougher game in Knoxville than I do against Georgia.

Georgia
-I’m not worried at all about Tennessee. They are one of the most overrated teams currently.

-Tennessee has a horrible offense, but good defense.

-Oklahoma exposed Tennessee. Tennessee will look good until they run into Bama and us.

-Tennessee and Arkansas will be a war and those hillbillies will come back down to earth.

-Stop the run. Don't get beat deep. A simple formula to absolutely beat the piss out of an average Tennessee team.

-The Vols will be a challenge. They can play defense and while raw, their QB has the physical traits and moxie to make life tough for even good defenses.

-LOL at anyone that thinks Tennessee is a good football team. Kirby will skull frick them.

Florida
-Vols continue to dominate opponents with so-so QB play. They’ll do the same thing to us.

-Tennessee's defense is way better than last year. We're going to have a hard time scoring on them. Their offense looks a little worse but they won't have any issues moving the ball on us.

-Tenn is going to kill us.

-Tennessee is really good on both sides of the ball. Their DL is deep and stout. Very envious.

-Josh coached his team to a win without humiliating his Alma mater and not having to open his play book.

-Tennessee is pretty good, on both sides of the ball. Heupel is only in 4th year there. They were in bad shape and their roster wasn’t much when he arrived. How did they get so good?

Arkansas
-Tennessee and Ole Miss look better than Texas - especially if Ewers remains limited through the rest of the season.

-We get to show OU how it's done week after next. We should beat Tennessee.

-The Vols definitely made a point to introduce OU to the jungle. The hitting in that game was crisp.

Kentucky
-It’s early in the season but UT and UT look like the best two teams in the country to me.

-We usually don't do well against teams like Tennessee. Too many mistakes on the back end. It took a few coaches that didn't work out, but they are a top 10 program again and will be a regular playoff team..

-UT has a good offense and they also appear to have a solid, if not good, defense as well.

-Saying good things about Tennessee football is almost painful....but that's a mighty good football team. Mighty good.

-Tennessees q-back is pretty good but he can’t protect the ball, twice he’s lost it because he careless with it. We should feast on that.

-Mark Stoops makes the same money as Josh Heupel. One team going to be in the playoffs and the other fighting for a mid-tier bowl bid.

-Josh Heupel has the ball rolling in Knoxville. You can’t deny it.

-The fact that Tennessee can control the clock or absolutely shred you through the air and run it up on you makes them the scariest team in the country.

If they didn't catch that CJH was dialing the offense back, they are the ones in for a rude awakening. The Sleeping Orange Giant is awake.

This! People that have not paid attention to what CJH said after the game have no clue of what actually happened, The above poster did. Once Tennessee went up 19-3, CJH effectively shut the offense down. With the injuries on the offensive line, CJH recognized Tennessee had to play it close to the vest to minimize offensive mistakes. He spoke of fundamentally changing the gameplan on the fly to get a W on the road. That's what should scare the 💩 out of everyone.

uga fans. In constant need of ratification. Most ridiculous comments n the list.

Trash program. Most needy, annoying fans in sports.

Georgia has the worse fans that I have experienced. They have good fans too but definitely they got an arrogant fanbase. The Kirby Smart run has only made them worse. I remember walking through their fanbase to go home after our loss to them in 2005 and hearing their non-sense.

Our offense is definitely a work in progress, but it's also worth noting, we've not been remotely tested this year, and Heupel has dialed break the aggressiveness as a result. We basically ran a conservative ball-control offense for most of the game against Oklahoma, even though that's the opposite of our M.O.

Arkansas will probably be the first team we face that can move the ball on offense against us. Their offense is good, 21st in the nation in offensive efficiency (in comparison, Oklahoma was 112th and NC State was 116th). Much better team than being given credit for and they'll be hungry for an upset win.

We're going to need to open up the playbook a bit in Fayetteville.
I'm not so sure. While we aren't on the same level talent-wise with UGA and Bama yet, this is the first year in ages that we're putting a defense on the field that looks like the defenses that UGA and Bama trot out on Saturdays. When you've got a weapon like that to go along with our exceptional special teams, you've got a shot in any game you play in. Plus it does give you flexibility in how much of the load you put upon young Nico. I think the way we played OU was a good blueprint for the rest of the season. Let Nico grow at his own pace and rely on that running game and defense.

Bama is a little to cocky, our former OC gave them fits for 3 quarters at USF in Tuscaloosa. Don't think they can come into Neyland and steamroll us. Also, Its time for Florida to serve their time in the bottom of the SEC! We should beat them by 20+
Let's be real here. Bama will approach the 3rd week in October in a MUCH different fashion than when playing USF.

I am wondering about Alabama, with their mass defections after Saban, I think we are about on par. DeBoer did a good job bringing good players in but think Tennessee has upgraded enough that they are very close to Alabama.

Arguments like this are always puzzling. I know Oklahoma's OL was terrible, but our defense was a big reason they couldn't throw. Or run.

Of course this one's from Kentucky. I've never heard someone refer to the quarterback or QB as a q-back. Maybe it's just me.

I do think the atmosphere in Athens will be difficult. Besides Arkansas, Nico won't have another away game to get used to the noise until then. Glad Bama is at home. Would love to beat them down in Neyland.

I'm assuming we reasonable fans can agree ALL fanbases say things that are motivated from emotion, insecurity, and downright ignorance. At least that's what I gleaned from all the "other site" post. I may be the only one, but I happen to think Arkansas will be our toughest game to date. I THINK the Vols are a much superior team but until we beat them in Fayetteville, I'll be a little uneasy. Sometimes...when a team is playing for their coach's job (a coach they all love btw)...they can play inspired football.

Yes they will but This is DeBoer's first big road game and first time in Neyland. Plus he's never played in THE 3rd Saturday in October. But yes they will definitely approach it different for sure.

Let me add what Tyler Watts (former UA QB) said on ESPN radio this morning. When asked if Georgia was the best team on UAs schedule, he said ""I don't know, it might be Tennessee". :)

A typical Florida comment should read...............Tennessee should beat us but as usual they won't because we're in their heads before the game starts.

People shouldn't read too much into our offense at OU. It was Nico's 5th start and his first SEC road game against a very good OU defense. Combine that with the fact the OL was beat up and getting whooped a bit, I think it was clear that CJH just wanted the win and didn't want put too much on Nico's shoulders at this stage. And with the defense playing so well, it was clear we just needed to control the ball and control the clock.

UGA fans act like new money, hit the jackpot but acted like I earned it, type individuals. I do not understand why their average online fan is so rude. I get we have some crazies in orange too, but UGA fans just have a fragile ego.
