What qb should start against UGA next weekend?

Scoring only 6 points and turning the ball over aint going to win many games.
Maybe if the RBs and OL would do something to support the QB instead of fumbling on a half-ending drive and the defense didn't give up 53 yards in 20 secs, 12 3rd conversions including one from their own 2 yard line.

We’re paying him 8 million for a reason. He’s gonna have a lot of “tall tasks”. He’s a rookie maybe but he’s special. Didn’t Bryce Young live up to the moment as a freshman? Trevor Lawrence? He’s in that category. The difference is CJH is being way to loyal to Joe.
I agree with you, I felt he should have started him sooner this season, so he would have been ready to play GA at home next week. Unfortunately, the fanbase was split on the issue, so there was no way to make such a public outcry that Heupel would have been left with zero choice, but to start Nico this season.

We will lose either way so it doesn’t matter but I would give Nico playing time to get ready and start him against vandy to

The QB is the general on the field, he should have been the one doing all the leading and supporting.

You start your future QB. Joe Milton is hot garbage that they made Luke warm to hold everyone over til next year.

Georgia at home in Neyland is not throwing the wolves. Especially behind a senior laden offensive line….. I’m sorry if I fail to blindly follow the narrative that Nico is too fragile to play against Georgia….

He is gonna play teams just as talented as them sooner or later. There is no downside to him getting it over with now. Even if he does get hurt as everyone claims he’s at risk of, we have an entire offseason to heal.
I believe each of GA's D Line are legitimate NFL draft prospects. Do you think that's true of our O Line? Their Linebackers are mostly NFL draft prospects and so are their corners.

It's ridiculous to make a freshman start against that kind of talent. They're extremely talented.

He's led them in rushing and scoring in 2 of the 3 losses. He has 825 yards passing, 101 yards rushing, and 5 scores. The RBs had 107 (Wright), 64 (Small), and 48 (Sampson) yards in those 3 and 0 scores. Quit making excuses for them.

It's quite a different thing to ask Nico to live up to the moment playing on this team than it was to ask Bryce Young and TLaw to live up to the moment playing with a multitude of 5*s at Bama and Clemson. Apples and oranges, my friend.

Nico may be in their class from a talent standpoint, but our team is a far cry those Bama and Clemson teams in terms of overall surrounding talent. And neither of those guys made their first start against the two-time defending champs.

It's just unfortunate that our next game is against UGA. If we were playing Arkansas next week, and then Vandy, I'd be more on board with making the switch at QB.

I'd read some posts indicating that he and Heupel didn't part on the best of terms and Gabriel didn't want to play for him again.
Dillon probably went into Heup's office one day and found pics of Milton hanging all over his wall.

Milton should start, then after UGA is routing us put Nico in. Maybe then against Vandy they ll still start Milton but they could alternate ever 2 possessions or something. The next 2 games do not matter as far as who the Qb is. We lose to UGA and beat Vandy either way.

Should? I would argue for Nico. Some would make arguments about how it could affect his health or whatever, but the kid is going to lead our 2024 and likely 2025 team. Get the kid as many reps as you can.
I’m one of those who argues about his health. Here’s the thing, start him against Vandy? Sure absolutely. But making a kid’s first career start be against UGA? Man you all are crazy.

Okay even if Nico loses to UGA as a freshman, it ain’t gonna kill the rest of his career lol

He's not there to be murdered in his first ever start. Just stop it.

Lmao murdered? Why is he gonna get murdered? Cause he’ll get sacked a few times? That’ll happen in many games he plays. His confidence isn’t going to shatter if he loses against #1 UGA. Promise.

Guess we should bench him against UGA next year too. Cover him in bubble wrap
