What qb should start against UGA next weekend?

Lmao murdered? Why is he gonna get murdered? Cause he’ll get sacked a few times? That’ll happen in many games he plays. His confidence isn’t going to shatter if he loses against #1 UGA. Promise.

Guess we should bench him against UGA next year too. Cover him in bubble wrap
Or start him out slow next year with weaker competition. Like most rational people think.

That’s called coaching scared. I’d rather not have a scared coach. Nico isn’t some fragile little freshman, he’s a baller.

Dumb question. One QB is playing his last year of football (probably ever) and has no future, the other QB has his whole future ahead of him.

There's no way I risk getting Nico hurt, for what exactly? Experience? What kind of experience is he going to get out of being slaughtered by UGA.

Let me preview it for you...

UGA completely shuts down our run game and scored 21 points on us making our only choice to be a pass-only team with a true freshman QB. UGA will pin their ears back and blitz our OL on every other snap. Nico won't have a chance to do anything productive he will just be a tackling dummy back there.

I say let Joe take that punishment. If Joe gets hurt who cares we can let Nico start against Vandy.

Ah yes because UTEP, NC State, Kent State, and UT Chatt is gonna be the best teams to prepare for SEC play vs Bama, Florida, Georgia, and Oklahoma 😂😂😂😂

These folks really think Nico is some newborn who must be wrapped in bubble wrap…. Like why are we paying so much money for a guy who is viewed as very fragile by a big portion of the fan base?

If someone can coherently explain what benefit Nico will get out of starting the hardest game of the year in what is all but certain to be a devastating loss? I'll listen but it seems like the risks are much bigger than the rewards. If Joe breaks both legs we can let Nico start against Vandy.

Getting Nico experience against the level of defenses he’s gonna play a year from now and getting it on film is a reward that far outweighs the risk of him starting.

And none of you softies can clearly find a coherent response to the fact you all are saying we it’s a guaranteed loss vs Georgia so why does it matter an iota who the starter is if the outcome is determined.

You guys are just soft… because if the result is already set in stone, you have no valid explanation for the benefit of Nico getting experience vs a type of team he’s gonna see for the next 2/3 years.

Why isn't Arch playing at TX? A generational talent. Getting paid too, I think. Ewers, before him, never saw the field at Ohio State.

Arch is getting zero meaningful snaps AND he and his family are fine with it. Eli sat for 2 years at Ole Miss before starting because he could. Peyton only started at UT because we had injuries.

It's not like it's uncommon for good QBs to benefit from sitting a year.

Since you clearly have an extra cromosome let me preview what your "valuable experience" is going to look like...

UGA will COMPELTELY shut down our running game and shred our defense for 21 unanswered points putting UT in a deep hole and forcing us to be a pass-only team. UGA will then pin their ears back and blitz us on every other snap. Nico will get sacked over and over and have zero chances to be productive or learn how to do anything other than being a tackling dummy. Nico then shreds his ACL knocking him out for almost all of the 2024 season meanwhile you got Milton with no eligibility and no football future just sitting there on the bench. UT goes 4-8 next year and Milton is sitting on his couch eating Cheetos.

They have a starter who was viewed as a preseason Heisman contender and are still alive for the CFP. Are you seriously saying Texas and Tennessee’s seasons are in the exact same place? Don’t tell me you are saying that Texas who is still alive for the CFP with Ewers is equal to 7-3 Tennessee who has no conference or CFP possibilities and it doesn’t matter how we finish this season. are you really saying that?

Milton…only Milton.

Joe wasn’t the cause of the loss against Missouri…not even a little.

Besides…what did Nico ever do to deserve being treated like that?

So you think Nico is fragile and soft. Just say that. You typed a lot of nonsense when you could have said Nico is fragile. Do you also expect him to be at risk vs the SEC schedule next year with a completely different line with much less experience?

Well Milton did have a fumble and an interception that directly led to 14 points being scored against us so I would not say that none of yesterday was his fault.

Im saying ANY QB we put out there is going to be at risk. Even Milton. We got exposed as a one dimensional team yesterday and UGA will take full advantage of it. Whoever starts at QB next week is in BIG TROUBLE. UGA will pin their ears back and sack us over and over. So who do you want to take all that abuse? The guy who our entire future is built on or the guy who has no more future left? Nico can have a full year to put on weight and strength.

Dumb. Is he here to be a QB or not?
lol...starting Nico would be about as stupid as starting Petersen against UF in 2014, and about as effective. It would be more likely that it would ruin or damage Nico for future opportunities than it would help the team. Nico can come in if the game gets out of hand, which unfortunately might just happen.

Okay. So the QB doesn’t matter vs Georgia. THANK YOU. If the QB don’t matter, having the QB who is going to face this type of team for 2/3 of the schedule the next two years seems like a good thing to have in a throwaway game.

And once again, you guys think he is too fragile to go against Georgia this year but somehow won’t be next year simply because our OOC schedule do Kent State, NC State, UTEP, and Chatt are gonna be perfect tune up games to prep our team for SEC play 😂😂😂
