Its nice to see there are some others out there that feel the same way I do! A lot of you haters are in denial. Pull the shades from your eyes...its been a horrific month and a half.

It's been a "horrific" decade. It's better now than it has been since 2004. So you stand outside and scream at the clouds that the sky is falling when you have a rainy day in the midst of a beautiful spring?

Apparently recruiting only exists for FF folks one month a year.

You mean Carl Lawson. Of course we are going to strike out on top recruits, or lose them near the end of the cycle. It happens! Again, all I was saying is that it seemed like we got hit with bad news left and right with no good news sprinkled in. Glad to see we got the 2 new 3 stars to replace the blow.

We lost a 5* and a 4* but then we got 2 3*'s, so we just need 1 more 3* to even it up...right? Dude Chill

I love it when a poster expresses concern over recruiting and they immediately get ridiculed by other posters by accusing them of acting like the sky is falling. No one thinks the sky is falling. However by that same token, you shouldn't be acting like a bunch of condescending "Baghdad Bobs" who think our low recruiting ranking doesnt at least raise a red flag and warrant SOME level of concern. A program that is trending up like ours is right now shouldn't be struggling to stay in the top 20 in recruiting , even when numbers are limited. Just because some of us want to know why doesnt mean we're panicking.

Alot of keyboard tough guys. When ppl disagree or sees something a different way ppl become hostile.

But those cruits we lost has the potential to be replaced with other top ballers. It will be a wild ride to Feb imo

To all you people who are worrying, you can stop. I think we're about to finish strong, very strong. Unless you're UGA or UF fans, then you should be shipping your pants.

Good find. Looks like OP "follows recruiting" when guys decommit and freaks out...only to not pay attention to how the last month of recruiting plays out.

He even did this at the exact same time last year. Lol. Trololololololol.

Ya I'm really suprised by the poor recruiting myself. I can understand not having a top class every year but at this rate we might not make the top 20? Very surprising. However, things are looking up as much as they have been in a while so what can you do. Let's just hope we get some good news regarding draft eligible players coming back. Also, maybe this will be the year we land a couple of big fish on signing day. Seems like the past 10 years or so they almost never choose us on signing day. Maybe this will be the year

It looks to me like two kids were told to look elsewhere. Then an OL recruit and a CB recruit commit to Butch. We then lose Kongbo as he realizes staying close to home may be better for him. Sounds like typical recruiting to me.

If Kongbo ends up at Bama, that's not so close to home.

So dramatic. I simply pointed out the same OP did the exact same thing 2 years ago and was proven wrong. It screams of wanting attention. Of all things to criticize Butch Jones about, recruiting is not one of them. People will ***** about anything.

I'm with OP. Georgia got another 5* player today and they keep moving up. Meanwhile, we're over here buying our SECCG tickets forgetting it all starts with recruiting. Why should we feel good right now?

No idea. We won 9 games for the first time in a decade, we lost our 4 games by 17 points, we dominated a bowl game, the #2 Juco DT and a high level CB are enrolling early, we just hired an elite defensive coirdinator, we have had 2 top 5 classes, and we will finish with more great players in this class. I have no idea why we should feel good.

We also have the top DT QB in the country committed. He's not a 5* though. Not worth feeling good about either, I guess.

Besides the EE's, Juco DT, Juco WR, Juco CB, and Osbourne who in this class would have a shot at all to play next year? These 4 guys coming in for the Spring will compete for a spot but the whole rest of the line up is sewed up. Two deep atleast. Maybe there's an argument for Kongbo. Practically this whole class could RS. I think the depth chart going into next year has hurt us a bit this year. We are gona be deep and loaded on D and OL and have Dobbs successor learning and lifting. In 2017 our D will be loaded, OL all will be back, Guarantano will be Dobbs on HGH imo, and Preston, Malone, and Smith out there to make the transition appear seamless. Hurd will be hard to replace so we need a stud in next class. We are set through 2020 pretty much the way I see it so we've got 4 years to make up for an off year. i won't even remember people worrying about this class.

This recruiting class is no reason to feel bad about the 2016 season. UGA has a solid class, but in 2016 they'll have new systems on offense and defense, they'll likely be starting a true freshman QB, and their best player will be coming off a horrendous knee injury.

This recruiting class will be far more relevant in 2017 and 2018.

Every class is relevant. No matter the size.

UGA is in the position UT was a couple years ago. All new coaches. All positions up for grabs and new guys coming in are on a level playing field. Lots of playing time available. It makes sense their recruiting is going well. Just as UTs did. Does UT have immediate DL PT available? No. DB? Not really. QB? Of course not. RB? No chance. Only spot I see the need for immediate help is WR and always need OL. When Tatum picks UT, that will give us 3 OL commits with Dickerson still a long shot option. We have 3 WR commits and should be able to get 1 more by NSD. It may not be sexy, but needs are being met. Calm down.

Makes no sense at all. Look at bama. They are as loaded and established as any program and yet look how they pull them in. Often the most dominant and stable staffs pull in the most talent. It just downs t make sense why our recruiting is so piss poor this year. And no excuse justifies it

When Tennessee plays in the title game every other year like bama, comparing recruiting head to head would make more sense. Tennessee is just now becoming relevant again. As painful as it is to admit, it's just true. 9 wins. Hiring Scott and Shoop. Things are looking up. Recruiting will follow.
