Where do we go from here, and does this loss effect recruiting?? (Merged)

This is how I see the rest of the class shaking out.

1 LB
2 DB
1 WR
1 RB
4 OL
2 DT

I think we have a good chance at Kelcy Quarles and Prince Shembo at DT. JaWuan James, Stone, Robinson, and a JuCo guy at OL. Stills at WR. Gio Bernard at RB. Riggs and Riley at DB. I don't really know who the linebacker will be but I'll just blindly guess Victor Burnett.

Purely a guess based on where we are with these guys currently.

that's 11, wonder which one u'll take off?

I don't know why, but I just get the feeling Floyd goes where Quarles goes. He says he wants to play with another big time DT. He'd be an excellent two gap guy I think.

i'm sure that Meline will be a safety, but Cobbs too?? didn't know he played D.

Cobbs could easily be big enough to be a linebacker or a real physical safety once he shows up on campus. Meline could end up a DB as well, but something tells me his future is as a WR.

Hubbs said a couple of days ago that the staff is really wanting a true TE. I think we get one. Fashaw imo...

4 OL
1 CB
1 S
1 RB
1 LB
1 DT
1 TE

I think they might grab Khairi Fortt at LB

I would like to think we get 4OL at least. Do we think we have GOOD chance on that many? If so, when do some of these guys visit? I was hoping to see some of OL commits after Bray but none yet. I would also like to pick up 3-4DL. We need depth. Anybody know how many OL and DL are done after this year?

Floyd? I haven't read anything about him having any interest in coming to UT. Has something changed with him? He was one of my early favorites along with EGO. Floyd would be an awesome addition to an already kick arse defensive class if we get him.

Not counting the obvious OL need, I don't think any position stands out as being more important than any other. As long as we get at least 3 OL, I just want to see them reeling in top talent.

Florida has a lot of kids on their board and 7-10 spots left to fill. UF could easily end up #1 as well. SEC owns recruiting.

The chances we get good OL commits in this class=very, very good

The chances somebody starts ANOTHER thread about OL recruiting=100%

The team we just played, UCLA, had a starting true freshmen at left OT, probalby the most important postion on the line.

Yes and its rare to have a kid come in and start. It can happen but rarely. Players like Seantrel Henderson could come in day 1 and start but of the guys we are in on now, I dont see any who are physically ready for SEC football. Cullen would probably come in and contribute but not start and Moses, depends on how well he could adjust and how hard he works.

Plus with the possibility of Bray starting next year, no way do you want to put freshmen in front of him.

The SEC will have 3 teams in the top 5 and probably 2 more within the top 10...that's insane
