Where is Alexa headed? [Alexa Middleton leaving team]

I like her. I gave her the nickname Dribbleton because she dribbles to much instead of moving the ball. Nothing against her as a person. On the court her play as anyone is under a microscope. Never would i attack her personally. She has the heart of a Lady Vol Lion. Im zhocked she is transferring. But not broken over it. I wish her well and God bless.

First read I wondered too. Rereading, however, I think it is fairly obvious he is referring to DD, just like "Elite program" refers to UT.

And her name is Middleton. No need to be ugly about a young student athlete who gave 3 years to the program, regardless of the fact she is leaving, and who can't respond to such hatefulness. "Anonymity", right T_V and Rickster?

Absolutely.

Alexa Middleton has been a class act throughout her entire Tenn career. To sling mud at her because she's decided this school and/or its basketball program are no longer a good fit for her is uncalled for and completely sleazy. Some people on this board should be ashamed of themselves.

Thanks for posting. I'm a fan of Alexa's and am disappointed that her Lady Vol career has come to an end.

But I am excited to see where she ends up.

:good!:

I couldn't agree more. I hope she won't let the unnecessarily ugly comments on message boards permanently tarnish whatever good memories she may have had of Lady Vol fans.

no, she can never be a LVFL, because she has left us with a year left of eligibility.

she is a UTBLV.

Let's see...... Candace Parker leaves early for a professional career!

Alexa leaves because she wants to play her last year of basketball at Who Knew U ?

Yep same same ?

Yep same same.

They both had a year of eligibility left, but elected not to stay at Tennessee and went on to greener pastures, whether the pro league or another school.

It is odd to bring Candace into the comparison. She would have been a fifth year senior to use her last year of eligibility. She had completed her course requirements and wanted to graduate with her recruiting class. She was also a lock to be the Sparks first round draft choice which was perfect from a career standpoint.

She also led the LVs to two straight national championships, had been a three time All-American, and national player of the year (Naismath, Wade, and AP). Candace is also on the short list of greatest LVs of all time (with Holdsclaw, Catchings, and Charles).

So yeah, I guess Candace and Alexa situations are just "the same."

Yet Diamond stayed when she could have been a number 1 WNBA pick.

But if you want to agree with people saying Alexa is less of a Lady Vols because she decided to finish her eligibility elsewhere, then be my guest.
