Where is Alexa headed? [Alexa Middleton leaving team]

I agree, there have been positive developments. That DD and Russell decided to come back was positive--I was pleasantly surprised by DD's decision but don't think Russell ever seriously considered leaving. The recruiting class is certainly a positive. However, we've now lost two potentially major contributors, which partially negates the good momentum, and we'll never have truly good mojo until we get a new coach. But I've said my peace about Warlick and will try--hard!--to stop banging on about her as we're stuck with her for at least another year. Hold me to it!

Deal! :p

Did Alexa Middletown graduate, or is graduating? I can't remember when UTK's year ends. Thanks.

She is supposedly going to fall classes at UT. That probably will finish her degree???

She is a shooting guard.... not a true point guard! JMO

In the SOuCOn, she can play either.

In the SEC she is a good PG and a better SG...In the SouCon she would be elite in either position.

I graduated from UTC in 98...Played pickup against T.O. a time or two.

In the SouCon, Alexa would have fun playing and would shine.

Just curious, we, UTC, have a player she played high school ball with on the same team and class.

So, in theory, she could graduate at UTK this December, drive down I-75 and immediately start playing for UTC as a grad transfer? Never heard of anybody doing that though....or she could sit the whole year.

Can you do that?

Think it depends on what grad program you take, not one offered at current university. Or at least used to be that.

Deerpark or Cannon should know.

Whatever she does, I wish her the very best and much happiness. 🍊🔶GLV!

She's followed FSU, Iowa State, Texas Tech, and Belmont coaches on twitter recently.
Where did it say she was taking classes in the fall ?

I got your message and no, I won't leave my wife and fly away with you to timbuckto. stop asking.

I have said and still say, if I was in a dicey situation and needed someone to help me, Amidd and Kortney are the two I would want to have around! Not afraid to get dirty, or break a nail. Totally LVs!

Hope Amidd has a wonderful year this year, wherever she is! And hopefully somewhere that we can catch her on TV!

Hmmm, my guess is CJ was not in his early 20s in 1998. I'm thinking it was a second degree or something. Am I right, Jump?

Sorry about the delay...New position and new hours are taking a toll on me.

I wanted to go to college from the gitgo. After serving in the Army (1982), I thought about trying to walk on at UTC for football. 6'2", 190 (that was a good size for the position back then). I could throw a football very accurately up to around 30-35 yards and could launch one about 70 yards, full tilt. (Even now, I can still throw it near 50 yards). But life threw me a little curve and basketball found me. I have loved this game ever since.

I never played organized BB so it is even more perplexing how I got into it. But from day one, it made sense to me. And not having played the game, in a position, gives me insight on every position.

I had a great deal of fun going to UTC. Worked 2 SEC Women's tourneys, and an AAU 16U national championship, and got to be the team liaison for the 1996 Australian Women's team for a tourney held at Chatt St. . . Did an internship under the A.D., Oval Jaynes. Graduated with a BS in Sports Management with a minor in Athletic Coaching. 3.56 GPA.

??? Don't understand what you are asking. (Just had to communicate with gule asap, so used this thread.)

Hey, just saw this. I was talking about Jumper saying he graduated in 98.

Thought you were talking on PM to gule about that.

I was clarifying saying maybe it was 1898.

Sorry to be so unclear.
