Before any UT fan accuses any other coach of being a drunk, they should they think twice.

There you go with the anti-Semitic remarks again, Lofton. We all know you're only saying that because Pearl is a Jew.

Sorry ive looked all over the internet and cant find any hilarious videos of bruce getting a DUI.

Yes because getting a DUI means you're a drunk.

Until you get one, you don't have a problem. Cool.

Tell that to the college freshmen who had a few too many and got behind the wheel.

Stupid drunks.

I don't know what your agenda is. It's a simple poll question. If you think it's dumb, don't vote. Really, it's that easy.

My only agenda in posting in this thread was to point out the flaw in the question.

Coaches are measured on their accomplishments. Xs, Os, strategy, in-game adjustments, player development, recruiting, or whatever other aspect of coaching you'd like to name are all simply ingredients that help a coach make those accomplishments.

Removing one aspect--probably the most important aspect--and then trying to make a comparison is beyond worthless. Worthless would lead you to no conclusion. Your method is, presumably, designed to lead to the wrong conclusion.

Uhm sorry. The conclusion I'm looking for is "Who is the best coach - - recruiting aside"

Tell me a better way to reach my conclusion.

Yes. You are comparing the decision making of an 18 year old to that of a grown man.

You were the one that said to be a drunk you have to have a DUI.

So a homeless man who has blown his entire life on booze isn't a drunk until he gets a DUI?

Also, the starting shortstop at the college I played at never missed an FCA meeting, got drunk one time while on campus and got a DUI.

I'll be sure to text him and ask how my "drunk buddy" is doing.

You want to know who the best coach would be if he didn't have good players?

The question is strange to the point of being meaningless. Why would you want to reach a conclusion on that?

He did, however, raise a sniveling whiner. That's far worse.

You know, I was going to come back with a little smack of my own but that's pretty funny so I'm going to give that one to you.

With that, I'm heading home for the day. :mf_surrender:
