“There have never been such incidents. Of course, there are technical possibilities to restore the infrastructure, it takes time and appropriate funds,” Novak said. “I am sure that appropriate possibilities will be found.”
It's a pipeline, how much can it cost to fix it?Russia is going to throw Germany one last lifeline. Let's see if they take Russia up on the offer.
Russia's Novak Says Possible to Repair Nord Stream Pipelines | Financial Post
Now how will it be funded or who is going to pay for it?
More than either Germany or Russia would have preferred to spend repairing it. If there is any hope of those pipelines being salvaged, Germany better jump on the phone with Russia ASAP to avoid any delays that could complicate the matter. Apparently salt water is going to be an issue to deal with. The sooner they get this pulled out the ditch, the better. It's a pipeline, how much can it cost to fix it?
Delays? Like the ones going back to the start of Septmember when no oil was supposed to be flowing?More than either Germany or Russia would have preferred to spend repairing it. Any argument for the US could be applied to Russia. The pipes werent supposed to be in current use. It forces Europes hand to go one way, to US LNG, or the other, back off the war and sanctions. But with the sanctions already in place the US isnt gaining anything.Does anyone really think it’s anyone other than the USA??

I can't believe we would do this ourselves. We likely used the UK and/or Poland as a proxy.
Consider its not someplace you can reach that easily. The best areas to sabatoge would be deep underwater and require a sub or deep water submersible to get to. How many countries have a spare sub with deep water diving equipment laying around?
