I don’t. Just that Saban made the decision a while back this would be his last year.I owe you an apology. Great call and I didn't believe it. Mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
Past that, and whatever pound of flesh you want to take, have you got any info on who's next?
I lean in on Lanning because he's SEC seasoned and young enough that if the job eats him, he can still have a good career.
But mostly, you've earned it if you talk crap about half of VN tonight. Enjoy!
Agree. The gumps may not believe this but not every one is lining up for this job. If I remember correctly before Saban fell into their lap they were having a hard time finding someone to take the job.Obvious bias here, I'd love to have Lanning stay in Eugene. As for whoever takes over it's going to be a very tough job. Most people taking over after a Saban type "Legend" typically can't live up to fans expectations. It's better to let someone else come in and fail, then come in and save the train wreck.

Who all turned them down?Exactly. People forget this. They were desperate because nobody would take the job. The pressure of coaching there and following Saban's run will be immense. Someone will take the gig but they're absolutely crazy because these Gumps are as spoiled and entitled as they've ever been.
