I can't make you face the facts this has been going on for more than a decade and was emboldened by weak US leadership on the world stage.

Putin and Russia now have a willing ally in their effort to undermine NATO and other forms of western alliance

They meddles in the election to help him win. They held countless meetings with his campaign to exert influence. They effectively bribed a number of them, who now face charges. And as it has emerged, Trump himself has tried to cover it up with a phony press release about the meeting with his entire top staff and firing the man in charge of the investigation.

It's obvious. Trump is compromised. Has been for a while.

Why are you so blind to the Germany / Russia gas pipeline arrangement? To be consistent you should be attacking that also you realize if you’re actualky against strengthening Russia?

Or maybe, Trump is tired of the US getting screwed over by an obsolete alliance that has been one sided at best much like the UN. I have never understood the hysteria towards Russia. This hysteria has led to countless America deaths and since NATO is so concerned about Russia why did they sit out of the two wars fought to stop the advancement of communism in Vietnam and Korea? Which nation has led to more deaths of its own people during the last century, Russia or China? Should there be an alliance against China? I know the Left loves a good war just ask Wilson, Truman, Johnson, W, and Obama. I believe Obama bombed the most countries since WWII

He is hammering Germany because they are one of the richest countries in the world and they don't, but will pay Russia billions for oil and gas.

Honest question.....why do many think the US needs this alliance? What do we get from NATO and is what we get from NATO worth the price we pay for it. Also, compare the price we pay to what the rest of NATO pays and tell me why it makes sense for the US. Honestly wanting dialogue here and not really looking to argue.
