I can't vouch for all the replies, but I 110% stand behind today what I said in making this thread yesterday.
I honestly feel we could have won that game last night with a couple of key time outs at the end.
If you watch Rick's presser he talked about some guys being too emotional this game, and definitely at the end. A time out to settle them down at key times in the lat 3-4 minutes and be a calm voice of reason were opportunities missed by Rick.

Players have to bee fully accountable in losses, and so do coaches.

And you certainly have the right to do that. And it's okay. In my life...I have learned (and still learning) to try and funnel that emotion into real challenges in my life. And you may be the exception but CLEARLY....we have many emotionally charged "fans" who say extremely embarrassing things immediately following a loss (or even in the game thread .) But I get your point on the reply. Timeouts can certainly be a "feel thing" for coaches. When you let them "play through it" and it works (like the drive to win Illinois game) you look Brillant. When it doesn't....you get questioned over.

Irrelevant to the point. It was stated that teams like Auburn, Bama and Florida score a lot of points and implied they would be better suited for March. Florida scored 44 against us a week and a half ago and Auburn scored 53 against us a couple weeks ago. A lot of folks are proclaiming that our inconsistent offense will lead to an early exit if we run into a team with good shooters. Auburn and Florida both have multiple good shooters, yet we held them to 53 and 44 very recently. I guess if those teams run into a team that can hold them down defensively like we did, that means they will have an early exit, too, right?

More than likely, YES. It's called balance. Which not many teams have in NCAA bball any longer. Its MY opinion that a team with a great offense has better chances in the tourney than one who plays great defense. I could be wrong, but our defense has been #1 in the rankings most of the year. We will have a chance to see how successful a great defense will be in March. i hope they prove my theory wrong.

Before last night they were not anymore. The only way this team gets a #1 seed IMO is to win out and likely make the SECT final and I don’t see the former happening with road games vs OM and AM still to go, plus Bama at home. We’re sitting 7th in our own conference that’s not getting a 1 seed.

All this #1 seed talk has been laughable since conference play started. I see a solid 3 seed, which is GREAT for a team this offensively challenged.

Not true. With unbalanced schedules, conference standings don’t matter. We had the second most Q1 wins going into last night. This is the time of year some posters don’t understand what the committee uses.

Our last stretch here in the SEC grinder will determine our seed. The SEC tournament won't dictate the top seeds from the SEC. A couple of the bubble teams could play their way into it

Nether did Barnes his first year here. In fact Barnes didn't get there his first 2 years and only won his first game in his third....Now comes the old excuse. He took over a dumpster fire. Like nobody else ever takes over one except UT....Well. Maybe KY that just thumped us twice with a new coach.....and thrown together players.

When Barnes took over we were a .500 team and below that the year before. Pope took over Kentucky off of a 23 win season and had 22+ and 26+ the seasons before that.
And guess what else? Barnes didn't have the luxury of the portal, NIL, or a team with a tradition of winning basketball to build him a team, either.

Lets complain some more. Not enough of it. Many chasers of shiny objects here.
Barnes is a great coach, can't and will not complain.
Tournament Bound.
Potential is there just catch lightning in a bottle.
The tournament is always a crap shoot.
Let them play physical or not.
It is a matter of officiating, seeding, location and conditioning.
The coaching is there the execution and process is on the players, but keep on complaining about it all. Fickle fans needing someone or something to blame.
