Why WOULDNT CUM take the Notre Dame job?

It's all relative...
Stanford's happy with 8 wins, a bowl game, and having an upset once a year

ND thinks they going to be in BCS bowls and National Championship games and it's not going to happen

So good luck to whoever goes there, setting realtistic expectations will be the biggest challenge

ND's expectations are ridiculous, even with the high school schedule they play every year.

1. Florida has their state for a recruiting pool. Notre Dame has the whole country if they get a good recruiter.
2. The road to the national championship game is 10x easier at Notre Dame than it is at Florida. Even with a fairly easy schedule, ND going undefeated would almost guarantee a berth in the NCG.
3. No it's not. Notre Dame sucks, but it's still the highest profile gig in college football.
4. ND has more money.

1. It's harder to recruit players when you have to go out of state even for ND.

2. It's easier to get to the NC game, but they willl have to defeat the best SEC team to win the NC, which is more difficult then you want to believe, especially for a team that traditionally plays a weaker schedule like ND.

3. It's a division 1 school that has been struggling and who's best player is going to the NFL, he would be 2-3 years away from playing for a BCS bowl.

4. Florida will match whatever ND offers, they wont let ND outbid them.

I didn't take the time to read all the comments in the thread, so my apologies if this has already been pointed out:

Meyer's comment, for the record, was a very Bill Clintonesque: "I'll be at Florida as long as they have me." This is simply a truism. He didn't say "... as long as they will have me."

I'm just sayin' ...

Nothing Meyer says right now about ND is worth a damn anyway.

If UF loses to Bama, things will get very interesting in Gainesville.

Florida is not even on the same level as ND when it comes to available funds for a football coach. ND will pay whatever it takes to get who they want, you can take that to the bank. With that said I still don't believe CUM will be the next ND coach.

So you don't think Meyer's decision will come down to money?

It's hilarious that after the other thread is deleted you jump right back in to this thread. You guys are nothing but a bunch of trolls. (minus NCGatorbait)

To be fair I thought about leaving, but then you'd have no one to attack.

That wouldn't be fair to you.
