Win and in

I'm right there with you except I don't think either is a lock.

It's amazing to me how a couple of people here seem to think they know with zero question what the committee is going to do before they even know.

The only thing I'm sure of is there will still be doubt as to who the #3 and 4 teams will be going into the final selection, and maybe only the #4 spot if TCU somehow wins out. Anyone saying they know for sure is a fool. TCU and USC losing would clear up a lot, and Clemson (who I think is done) losing again would help.

Only how Tennessee is not in if they win out is if tcu wins out and Michigan beats Ohio state in a 4 ot win. Not bc it should happen but bc it's Ohio state.

That is the scenario that scares me. Some have said an 11-2 LSU jumps us, how when we dominated them at their place. I think you can make an argument that if we win out we are in, right now we have beaten 2 top 10 teams, has anyone else?

You would be wrong to think otherwise. Loser of UM and OSU don't have the strength to pass us.
Just simply not true. We need other things to happen. If USC is a one loss PAC 12 Champ and TCU remains unbeaten, we will absolutely not make it in.

Why is it necessary to operate in something that has less than 4% chance to happen.

I swear half of our fans are like doomsday prophets

I am one of the most positive mother ****ers around here lol. You have an issue with facts? People babbling about us being a lock right now if we win out is just ridiculous. We have to have other things happen in addition to winning out for us to make it in, its just a fact. What are you basing this 4% figure other than pulling it directly from your ass?

And I’m known as a nega-Vol most of the time.

I think it depends on your definition of lock. I think a 96% chance to make if we win out is worthy of being called a lock

Gotcha, your argument makes sense then. Who knows what will happen and hopefully it works out for us.

Yup, I think a lot of the fear rn comes from overestimating how good TCU is.

Now if they win out, that closes out a spot. But it is a miracle what that team has managed to do per metrics. Miracles tend to run out at some point. Tho they are a Christian university so we will see lmao

I am just looking at who they have ahead of them.........checking my notes.......yup, its trash, trash is what they have left to play. Pretty much the same with USC, UCLA might be the only real test for them remaining. I think TCU is a whole lot of not good and USC is about on the same level. I think we are better than every other team in the country other than georgia, but that's not who is going to be selected necessarily for the playoff. We need a 12 team playoff to better settle this stuff on the field.

I urge you to look at FPI.

Baylor is inconsistent but elite when they are on. ISU is a tough out every week.
KSU led them by 18 before blowing it.

As for USC, ND has continuously improved.
UCLA imo is actually the weakest of what remains but as you allude to is no walk in the park.

Then Oregon/Utah are both capable of downing USC
