Woke companies are crazy

This was bound to happen. It just became like some race to the bottom on the marketing side.

Can we be the most inclusive?
Does it help our business?
Who cares? Business school taught me to focus on this BS.
It was the rise of “stakeholder” capitalism. The belief that corporations should not be in the business of making profits and returning value to actual shareholders.

It’s a silly premise that has led to devastating impact.

I'm just saying that the right is actively searching for examples of "woke" corporate strategy right now. It's become a trendy thing to attack. In many cases, I think the right is just drawing attention to subtle changes made to brand marketing which would have mostly gone unnoticed without their outrage.
LOL 'actively searching'... 'Searching' would imply that you have to turn over a rock or two (metaphorically speaking) in order to find it. You don't even have to be in the same hemisphere with any rocks to see what these companies are doing. But hey if AB thinks catering to the alphabet soup people and increase their business, then good for them. Personally I think it is an idiotic marketing campaign that makes New Coke look positively brilliant, but you see what you see, and I will be ever thankful that I don't have any Imbev stock.

Nice job exposing the gay pride symbolism on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" 50 year commemorative cover. I guess that was pretty easy to spot though.

What? I have read @SpaceCoastVol 's post and this response of yours and have yet to decipher how you got Pink Floyd-gay pride symbolism being exposed out of it.

No offense, but it appears that some crackpot at Rolling Stone found some idiots and ran with a story on it and you took it hook, line and sinker. I am a huge Pink Floyd fan, pretty conservative and have been listening to the album on YouTube while working for the last couple of weeks. Never heard of the mess you've referred to until...you brought it up. Some of your comments have painted with a big broad brush, but none of the conservatives on here have had much to say about it. Odd, for it to be such a "big thing."

You mentioned the 'right' finding something inconsequential and really reaching to be outraged... This looks like the 'left' finding an inconsequential complaint and really reaching to make something of it. Anyone who confuses DSOTM with LGBT has Brain Damage. There's a lot of silliness all around.

It was all over Twitter. I did not learn of it from Rolling Stone. I observed it while it was happening and posted it on here, as did @n_huffhines in the cancel culture thread. He told me to cool my tits. The idiots were the people who claimed to be Pink Floyd fans, and interpreted the prism on PF's commemorative tweet to be an endorsement of gay pride. Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

I'm making fun of conservatives, who are finding "wokeness" everywhere they look ... and they deserve it.

Again, how did you draw what you did from @SpaceCoastVol 's post?

BTW, don't twitter/tweet, so yes if there was a tempest in a teapot about it, I missed it. But still have not heard anything about it elsewhere. My brother, who makes me look like a mere acquaintance with PF, has mentioned nothing about it. None of my other friends have said anything about while the BL thing has been a thing. Sorry, but not buying the PF -gay pride connection is anything serious.

Perhaps you should delve a bit deeper into who you're following on that platform?

Are you really this dense? He said that conservatives didn't have to look very hard to find wokeness .... I responded to that with facetiousness. You don't have to look hard to find "wokeness" ... when you can see it, even where it doesn't exist.

It's called being facetious.

Perhaps you might have explained that the first time I asked, because based on having read a number your posts, they do tend to not just ride off the reservation, they positively gallop off of it.

Eh, it’s pretty clear that even from 5 years ago it’s been far more trendy to be woke than to attack it. Budweiser is in on the game now, of all brands. What you are seeing with the traditional Budweiser demographic is not “trendy” to attack woke, it’s that they don’t want any part of it.

If we are looking for reasons to be offended the left has that more cornered than any group, even to the point where people are getting canceled and losing jobs.
