It wasn’t all over Twitter…. I’m on Twitter and follow as many liberals as I do conservatives…. I haven’t seen a single person post about it nor is it showing up as trending when I looked. I’m sure I could search and find a few idiots arguing about it though. It was all over Twitter. I did not learn of it from Rolling Stone. I observed it while it was happening and posted it on here, as did @n_huffhines in the cancel culture thread. He told me to cool my tits. The idiots were the people who claimed to be Pink Floyd fans, and interpreted the prism on PF's commemorative tweet to be an endorsement of gay pride. Just because you didn't see it, doesn't mean that it didn't happen.
It was from January ... I have bumped the link to it in the cancel culture thread. It was all over Twitter like I said. There were several articles written about it including one that I linked from Rolling Stone. It wasn’t all over Twitter…. I’m on Twitter and follow as many liberals as I do conservatives…. Reminds me of a wal mart protest that Huff posted about making fun of conservatives…After looking at Twitter….. I could only find one random post mad at wal mart and over 2,000 posts making fun of some made up protest that wasn’t happening.
I have looked all over Twitter…. Couldn’t find the actual Rolling Stone article on Twitter so I could see the comments below it…. I did find the article online from Rolling Stones…. It appears these articles were derived from very few comments about the subject…. There are 330,000,000 people in the US alone…. There are going to be a few idiot comments on any subject but it appears to be a huge stretch to say conservatives were upset/protesting Pink Floyd. It was from January ... That is wrong ... the Rolling Stone article only included a few comments. There were hundreds.I have looked all over Twitter…. They are upset about Bud Light…. I don’t really blame them… that was ridiculous.
I have no idea what the 69 joke is. And don't care. All I know is that I drank my last BL. That's all I can control or care about. You do you.We get the stupid and immature "69" joke ... and we get the fact that conservatives are exaggerating how much this controversy has hurt the sales of Bud Light.
Never heard of the phrase :I have no idea what the 69 joke is. And don't care. All I know is that I drank my last BL. That's all I can control or care about. You do you.
Come on man, even you have to admit it was a stupid hill for AB to die on.
I would like to know what their distributors think about this. That is a huge dent in their sales portfolio.
I think it is a combo of Mulvaney combined with what the VP said about its customer base which is in line with DEI rhetoric and action. So, that customer base said they'll buy another beer. Why is that a problem?I don’t really understand the uproar. The promotion involves one of hundreds of influencers hired by Bud. It doesn’t attempt to alienate Bud drinkers. It simply shows support for LBGTQ community.
Why does this so offend Bud drinkers?
Of course BB85 finds it necessary to define 69.Never heard of the phrase :
"Wine me, dine me, 69 me" ???
A "69" is a sexual position where two people are simultaneously giving each other oral sex. It can obviously be performed in a heterosexual encounter as well ... but it's probably more commonly done by homosexuals.
Sex Ed. is now dismissed. LOL.
What did she say about the customer base?
"Bud Light had been kind of a brand of fratty, kind of out-of-touch humor, and it was really important that we had another approach"
That's attacking the customer base. The easiest thing to learn when getting a marketing degree was that PR was crucial. She could say something that includes a separate customer base, no problem. But to tag an approach in a negative light is poking a segment of the base and has potential to harm the brand.
