Would CBJ ever go to Michigan?

You can willfully ignore all you want the path of destruction he's left literally everywhere he's been. It still. That happened, and it's still relevant. Or it should be, to you.

But yeah, go ahead and yuk it up all you'd like about Kiffin. It's cool, really, I get it. We did too, once.

You may be right. Saban totally seems like the kind of guy to be completely hands off and just let Kiffin do whatever Kiffin wants to do. That's so Saban.

I don't like it, but the reality is if Butch can turnover TN to become a SEC Championship contender, he will get looks from other schools.

I see Michigan or Michigan State, the only schools he would bolt too.

Michigan may be looking for a new coach in 2015.

Am I delusional or do other Vol fans fear the same thing?

I doudt that he would go to Michigan State. Ya know that each head coach has their "dream job" in mind though.

Kiffin had USC as his and he said that he would not have left Tennessee for any other school than USC.

Is Tennessee really bUTch's dream job or is it just "coaches speak" when he says that?

bUTch will leave for Michigan if the right opportunity arises. For instance, a Michigan program that has NCAA violations would not be able to get bUTch to leave Tennessee. A strong Michigan program would or a Michigan program that is mediocre but hasn't fallen on hard times could get his attention.

It also depends on what Mrs. Jones says. If she feels that this is home and that the kids feel it too, it may override what bUTch wants to do.

Wow, just wow. Not at the OP, but wow at how delusional virtually everyone on this board is about how these things work. If Butch wins big here, he most certainly will be a candidate for other top jobs in the country. And if you simpletons think he wouldn't listen and entertain more money or a job in his home state simply because he said this was his "dream job" at his first press conference, then you are truly in la la land.

If he turns Tn around and starts winning some Sec championship gms why in the world would you leave a good team in the best conference to go to the BIG

Spurrier left Florida when he was doing well. Also, Urban Crier left Florida when he was doing well.

Both were just a couple of years away from S.E.C. Championships or National Championships.

CBJ said he considers Tennessee a "dream job" so I'm not too worried about it. He hasn't won anything here yet, so there is no reason to panic at this point.

The Dolphins thought that Saban would remain at Miami.
He said " I am not interested in the Alabama job" then the next morning he was in Tuscaloosa.

Just because bUTch said that he has his dream job doesn't mean that it is so.

I also recall reading someone on here from the U of Cincinnati who told of how bUTch told everyone that he intended to stay at Cincinnati, even though he was in talks with Colorado & Tennessee. So, he misled those fans. So he is not perfect. Most coaches use "coaches speak" when in an uncomfortable situation. I am sure their agent advises them what to say.

It takes talent to pull off the double feat of being incredibly optimistic (Butch turning UT into a conference title contender) and apocalyptically pessimistic (Butch would leave UT in the lurch).

I'm impressed, OP.

Oh no, our offensive coordinator might leave?!?! Whatever will we do?

If the offensive coordinator leaves, do what we did the last time, hire Dave Clawson or promote from within and promote Randy Sanders.

Both of those hires worked out well, huh???

Well, on the bright side the start of football season is only about a month and a half off. Then we can talk about football instead of a bunch of asinine drivel.

So Saban is an offensive minded coach?
In that case, with an unproven mop-up duty FSU QB and Kiffin as OC, it all work out, right?

Before you "love" irony, try opening a dictionary and learning what it is.

Everyone knows what irony is. It's like.... rain, on your wedding day. It's a free ride, when you've already paid. It's the good advice, that ya just didn't take.

(BTW irony is actually none of these things. Alanis Morisette is full of ****.)

Why would a coach invest years of their time to build a successful program and then leave it right when it gets going? As much as I would have loved to see him go somewhere else, I think everybody knew Saban wasnt giving up his legacy at Alabama to go start over at a mediocre Texas program, compared to where they usually are. Butch isnt going anywhere unless he just doesnt win games and we have to fire him.

Two Words: Urban Cryer...I mean Meyer
However I don't see CBJ leaving nor do I see him being the cry baby liar CUM is

Three NCs, two different QBs, two different OCs.

I'll worry when I have cause to worry.
