Would CBJ ever go to Michigan?

Everyone knows what irony is. It's like.... rain, on your wedding day. It's a free ride, when you've already paid. It's the good advice, that ya just didn't take.

(BTW irony is actually none of these things. Alanis Morisette is full of ****.)

So is GrowVol.

It takes talent to pull off the double feat of being incredibly optimistic (Butch turning UT into a conference title contender) and apocalyptically pessimistic (Butch would leave UT in the lurch).

I'm impressed, OP.

Wait , so the thought of Butch turning Tennessee into a conference title contender is "incredibly optimistic" ?

I don't like it, but the reality is if Butch can turnover TN to become a SEC Championship contender, he will get looks from other schools.

I see Michigan or Michigan State, the only schools he would bolt too.

Michigan may be looking for a new coach in 2015.

Am I delusional or do other Vol fans fear the same thing?

Delusional? No, I don't think so. Many of us feel we've finally got a very good coach and worry that we might lose him if his home area were to call like we did for Majors in the 70's. The reality is if he does turn UT around like we hope and makes himself a target for other schools we'll be very happy to be winning again. Then we can worry, but not now.

Moment meaning 1 sec? The difference a moment makes can end up being the difference being a NC and ranked 7th end of season. Moments go far.

It's been a whole lot of moments since UT was able to stay within 3 TDs of Alabama. And the last time UT managed it required the guy you knocked Bama for hiring. Moments...

Spurrier left Florida when he was doing well. Also, Urban Crier left Florida when he was doing well.

Both were just a couple of years away from S.E.C. Championships or National Championships.

Urban left when Tebow left. Coincidence? Doubt it. And don't start about his medical history he only had migraines because he was trying to figure out how to replace a once in a lifetime player . and I promise you I hate Tebow but damn if he didn't win some games at Florida.

Yes sir, and more moments to come. Bama will be strong for a while longer. In the meantime, you will be insecure enough to be here, reminding hopeful Vol fans that we are no where near getting back to where we remember being....then take exception to a vol fan that trolls you. stay classy

And you will be hoping and praying for an Auburn or an Oklahoma to do something UT can't. I'm sure that's almost as good.

this is his DREAM JOB AND I BELIEVE HIM, I DONT THINK HE WOULD DO US THE FANS AND MOST THE PLAYERS, THINK HE MEANT IT WHEN HE SAID BRICK by BRICK and the HOUSE is not finished yet, still work to do LIKE A NC in the next few years.

Haha yep. Butch Jones is no different than all the other head coaches in NCAA football.

Everything is great, they are committed, they say all the right things, it is their dream school, etc. --- until those no longer apply due to seeking more money, better environment, another challenge, etc.

Column: Butch Jones commitment to Cincy was pretense

And there is nothing wrong with wanting a better job, making more money, etc. I just find it hilarious how some people hang on the coach speak. They are all paid mercenaries. Imagine if the Dallas Cowboys came after Butch and said they want to give him 8 million a year (assuming he desires an NFL job at some point), does anyone really think he'd give one rat's ass about brick by brick?

Some folks need to get a life.... OP has over 1,000 post in just a few years with nothing to say on this one. I wish people would post something worth talking about so some of us could read something worth reading. Some things you do not have any control over it. So Let It Go....OP
