Wow!!shocked

Yes, I was waiting for my registration to clear to post this. USC has 2 walkons and one scholarship available, and 3 seniors next year. So there is room for her and maybe Cooper if they want to jump on board though Cooper is leaning UT. And I think the idea that they have too much talent for Diamond is ridiculous. Dawn would take her in I think. UConn might be the only team to turn her down. It'll come down to where Diamond wants to play and nothing else. Good Luck.

Welcome on board! After orange and white, I love garnet and black!

Oh cripes I see by your profile {8 post now} that you seem to be an expert...Wow great...Like your profile NOTHING
who are you? what TEAMS do you Like? are you ORANGE or YELLOW? It's nice to know who you are chating with:peace2:
How does number of posts equate to anything relevant? And why should anyone give out personal information just because someone totally unknown to them wants to ask?

Can someone help? How does one remove a like? I meant to hit quote and accidentally hit the like button. Any assistance is appreciated!

All though everyone says UT; I wouldn't count out UGA. She'll have the same freedom she did at UNC with a group of girls who she's probably know forever. Chemistry wouldn't be an issue. It would be her team.

I seriously doubt that DeShields will transfer to Georgia.

If Diamond comes to UT, we will have a very talented team and no reason not to challenge for the NCAA title every year. This could be the start of our comeback to relevancy.

I don't see her at UGA mostly because I think she wants to win, which, will not happen at UGA.

Georgia is close to home for her. Beyond that, I'm not sure she would be satisfied with the other aspects of the program, i.e., coaching, atmosphere, fan support, the team's chances of winning championships, etc. Tennessee seems to be a far better fit on every level beyond proximity to her family. That said, no one really knows, or can know, what she is thinking. The one thing I am fairly sure of is that, if she truly was that unhappy at UNC, she will make damn sure to take her time and choose a school where she can be both happy and successful.

I just read an article on hoopgultz and based on the article the transfer is no surprise. She is just homesick and missed her family and friends.

There is no way that this is a "done deal." It is only a done deal when both sides meet, agree, and sign on the dotted line, so to speak. Contact between Tennessee and DeShields cannot happen until DeShields is officially released from UNC, and it is my understanding that that will not happen until she finishes this semester. DeShields certainly may have indicated to people close to her that she wishes to transfer to Tennessee, and Tennessee may very well be where she ends up. I hope so. But I don't see how it can reasonably be called a "done deal" when, by all reasonable standards, it isn't.

I would suggest trying to improve your reading comprehension skills before embarrassing yourself further. I have never claimed to be an "expert," though the number of posts next to one's moniker is not in any way suggestive of one's knowledge or lack thereof. It indicates only how many times an individual poster has commented within a particular forum. Having spent the past decade or so posting solely on political debate forums, I'm no stranger to message board commentary. I've gotten burnt out as of late with those boards and decided to sign up for something a bit . . . lighter. As a lifelong Vols fan (particularly of Lady Vols basketball), this seemed like a interesting choice (add to that the fact that I have been reading this board for a few years).

Who am I? Let's just say I am someone who recognizes and respects your innate humanity but who otherwise owns you in every measurable category.

And I believe I've already indicated which team I like.

Everybody suspects her to choose UT just because her mom ran track here. That dosent mean she's going to attend. And I don't think where Cooper lands has to do with where DeShields will play next, I don't know why people are saying they are a package deal. Honestly, I think Cooper's de-commitment came from committing too early to UNC. Committing to the first school that offered. Anyway wasn't it Cooper and Robinson who said they wanted to attend the school together. In the end, I wish Diamond well wherever she lands maybe a year off from ball is exactly what she needs to get her mind right and her body completely healed.

I agree. Coach Summitt has trained this team to do things the right way. As opposed to Uconn that has ESPN to sweep things under the rug.

To add some perspective,

..." Healthy debate is expected and encouraged, but take the childish insults elsewhere....

...Fans of other teams can add a unique perspective are always welcome here. However, keep in mind that this is a Tennessee board and those who support other schools should be respectful of the Tennessee program and fans. Fans of other programs who join with the purpose of mocking Tennessee will be banned...

...We believe in freedom of speech, but do it with some class..."

I will give you this: You have managed to figure out a way to power up your computer and post a few hundred comments to an internet discussion forum without blowing your entire neighborhood to hell and back. Congrats. Now if you could only figure out how to post something of substance with a bit of grammatical acumen thrown in for good measure, you might actually sound as if you posses more than a 7th grade education.

In any case, I'm not sure why you are going on so about me "hiding." That I choose to limit my online information is my business and has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that I value my privacy and consider my comments capable of standing on their own merit. I have never in my short time here insinuated that you shouldn't post, and I don't particularly care which team or teams you support. Get over yourself already.

Uh it is well known about the Mya Moore deal and all the ESPN studio tours. Come on mannn..... NCAA is not going to go after them because the power ESPN holds. Also why is the WNBA draft held in Connecticut, ESPN's back yard. Last I checked Knoxville was the home of Women's hall of fame.

There's an ignore button for a reason. Don't be afraid to use it.
You're so right; I just followed your advice. Wish I had done it sooner. What a sense of relief! Decency and intelligence in the VolNation posts has now increased to an acceptable level.

It was also not proven "in court" that he did not sexually harrassed the lady that turned him in when he was coaching the Olympic team. But come on man. Even people in Connecticut knew he was guilty.
