Yahoo claiming Bray and Couch (among others) took cash? (Merged)

No evidence UT knew anything, benefited, or was not doing adequate job monitoring players' activity (Bray wasn't driving a MBenz), so UT is clean. Also, UT is protected by Alabama being at the center of it -- no way they pull Alabama's football license and send a messenger to pick up the crystal footballs. Re Couch, they demand he pay back the $950 and suspend him for the 1st half of the South Alabama game.

Interesting that Yahoo! breaks this story, while the local yokel sports media, who essentially only cover UT sports, are completely in the dark.

That's because whoever handed yahoo this info on a silver platter dialed yahoo's number instead of KNS's. Yahoo was handed this story.

They would also have seasons with 8 or more losses for the first time.

No. Just wipe out the wins. But, I can understand why you're confused about anything to do with wins considering you're a Vandy troll. Bless your little heart.

thinking of sending mo couch a message,

If you took the money, please repay it and remove yourself from the university of tennessee. If you love the vols and the university do the right thing. You can transfer to alabama where it' s ok to take money. Best of luck to you though in life.

I know Mo personally. (Many on here are familiar with how this came about. Long story short, he has been a huge part of my 13y/o cousin's recovery from having his leg amputated after a hunting accident.)

I only have great things to say about Mo as a person. He has helped my family out tremendously. He is a father of a precious little girl, whom he adores and would do anything for.

I am not condoning his actions at all. It hurts to know that he took part in this (allegedly). It's no excuse, but I'm sure that if he did it, it was only to provide for his family. Many of you would do the same thing, although few on here would admit it.

So how about this? If you want to send such a STUPID message to him, give me your REAL name (you have his, so it's only fair. especially if you have any ballz), and I'll just call him on his cell phone and tell him personally. Hell, I'll even tell him your address so he can come "apologize" to you in person!

Sound good? No? I didn't think so. GTFO if you aren't man enough to tell him without hiding behind a screen name

You're clearly one of the ones acting like a big tough guy though. I know he's your friend but if it happened and it looks like it did then it was a pretty selfish move that was risking alot

Last 2 paragraphs were completely unnecessary, IMO.

hey peyton4heisman (he lost the heisman by the way to charles woodson) i didn't send the message so bug off, besides mo should have known better that tennessee was on probation already and that what he was doing was wrong and could damage the football team even more. i don't hate the guy and wish him well but he needs to step up tomorrow and tell butch that he wishes to be removed from the team. Team before player or get out of Tennessee.

Like I said, if he did it, I do not support that decision in the least. And I agree, it was a selfish move. But the dude saying he's going to send him a message and harass him over it and he doesn't even know him is cowardly, IMO. Be mad at him, hell, I am. But it's not your place or mine to send him a message saying GTFO of Tennessee.
