Yemi Makanjoula commits to Tennessee

Or he could have gone to UT, battled thru adversity, lost 150 lbs, and walked away with a degree.
Exactly what adversity? That's he's a pothead who was stupid enough to get arrested less than 24 hours after the Memphis game? Yeah, real profile in courage.

The best thing that could have happened for Williams would have been to have played in a program where guys like him get their asses kicked by both their coaches and their teammates until they get with the program.

Goins should've ordered the code red.

I didn't say courage, hat. Adversity. Arrested, suspended, embarrassed = adversity, for him and his family. Doesn't matter how you spin it, the definition stays the same. But when you change someones wording, as you did, it goes off on another tangent.

Stats don't mean anything without detail. You'll learn that FACT when you grow up. From what I saw, Wayne improved. And anyone that has a clue will agree.

Ahh, I see. Nice attempt at a halfassed insult; ironically, you're normally the one crying about being insulted. However, a better way for you to sum this up would be to say: "I have no clue what I'm talking about, and I can't even begin to offer any intelligent response, so I'm going to pretend that because I'm old that somehow that makes me an expert in basketball and see if someone buys it."

Battling through a drug charge and being arrested in an "armed car" is just such an admirable battle to fight through.

Don't be a smartass. I didn't say admiral, and I didn't say courage, as hat earlier tried. I said adversity. Don't replace my words to try to make a point.

I like this new theory. I can see the conversation now.

The Future Wife-Are you going to do those tasks around the condo you promised today?

Me-No. My head feels like someone set off multiple M-80s in it.

TFW-Are you hung over?

Me-How dare you? Can't you see I'm battling adversity?

That late season "back injury" was more adversity he battled through... He's a fighter.

I'll probably use that one in the morning. Not a bad idea.

Could you image him playing for Majerus back at Utah. He would have either quit in week one or would have actually developed into a decent big man.

Michael Doleac agrees.

Great comparison. Doleac and BW had the same basketball pedigree and background out of HS, one in oregon and one in the bronx. One played since he was little. One played on video games till he was 16.

Doleac was a good player and dominated his league in college, which sucked. He was a top 15 NBA pick and has a career 4 pt, 3 rb avg. That's what you call a bust.

Again, great comparison.

Yeah, real bust. Doleac's first NBA check will probably turn out to have been double what Williams earns for his lifetime as manager/chief potsmoker at Foot Locker. We get it. You defend everything involving Pearl. Stupidity is passed off as adversity. Brian Williams is a model citizen.

Again, you make up bs when proven wrong or somebody points out something really stupid that you print, like a comparison between Doleac and BW. It has nothing to do with how much money he made in comparison to BW will at foot locker or whatever other insult you want to throw, from LA, Vegas, NYC or whatever city you are visiting today, bigtime. A bust is a player that was paid the money, was drafted top 15, and becomes a journeyman player with limited minutes and a 4 pt career avg.

I don't defend BP and his stupidity. I also didn't defend BW or say he was a model citizen. He improved and received a degree. I did teach you a new word today and it appears you have learned how to use it. Now go ahead, throw an insult my way, or twist my words again. It's what you do best.

No, I'll simply say let's compare Nazir Muhammed and Brian Williams then. Fat,lazy, African American big city kids who came to college with next to zero basketball "pedigree." That one work better for you?
