I’m close to the same.If Tennessee were looking for any help to make them look better in the eyes of the committee that door has been slammed shut.
Not only did Georgia win, but the game went to overtime. The committee will see this as "very competitive" even though both teams kind of sucked and I think Tennessee could have beaten either on on Saturday.
Also Pedophile State didn't get blown out by Oregon and will now be assured a home game.
And finally worthless trash Clemson now gets into the playoffs putting us in direct competition with yet another team. So the final seeding will most likely look like this with Tennessee going on the road.
Seed
1. Oregon
2. Georgia
3. Boise St
4. Arizona St
5. Notre Dame
6. Texas
7. Penn St
8. Ohio St
9. Tennessee
10. Indiana
11. SMU
12.Clemson
I don't really know about 10-12 or whether Bama gets in because it doesn't really concern Tennessee other than do they rank Clemson ahead of Tennessee because they won the conference which is totally an argument someone on that dumb committee will try and make.
So if you are a fan of things being absolutely as difficult as possible for Tennessee you'll probably be getting your wish. I just hope they can hold their own or win against OSU before getting squashed by Oregon.

If we make it to the second round against Oregon this will be the strategy. Run the ball, they can't tackle, and shorten the game. When they load the box to stop our run game, hit em over the top. I like Bru and Thornton against their pint sized DBs. When the Ducks get down 2 TDs they become 1 dimensional and Pearce and company can tee off. We may match up better with the Ducks than any of the other real contenders.I’ll take Dylan Sampson on the road in the cold.
Good luck trying to tackle him.
This is our punishment for losing a game against a weak Arkansas team. Hopefully we can win one playoff game.If Tennessee were looking for any help to make them look better in the eyes of the committee that door has been slammed shut.

Disagree. The optics of past Bama favoritism and committee statements on the record regarding penalty of playing league championship games- there will br no penalty, as well as SMU keeping the game close last night will kick Bama out of the playoff. You all still thinking SMU gets in. Be prepared for Bama - 50/50 chance that happens

The committee cannot risk impartiality at this point although their waffling and dubious ranking logic may already have done too much damage to their credibility
I could see the computers coming back next year

Cynical. Let’s scrap the whole thing and just start over. The FCS 16 team playoff doesn’t hardly ever have controversy. Maybe they are on to something hereOn one side is their credibility, on the other are the investors in this multi-billion dollar venture saying "we're already stuck with three toads, don't give us a fourth". I will be surprised if credibility wins out over greed with these bureaucrats.
The computers will never come back. No way they give away the ability to control the result.
I love your thoughts, looking backwards and hoping for the best. Things change in days but yet your focus is on something that happen 2 months ago. This is why we have problems with a fan base and negative thinking. This is our punishment for losing a game against a weak Arkansas team. Hopefully we can win one playoff game.
The Oregon team I watched last night ain’t squashing anybody. If Tennessee were looking for any help to make them look better in the eyes of the committee that door has been slammed shut.

Not to mention Smart put Beck in the final play of the game, likely in part for the Committee’s eyes so that they can see he is presumably able to play. Of course given that they won the game on that play it wouldn’t have mattered who was at QB since the win gave them the automatic bid, but it was maybe just a little insurance in case they didn’t win. .Considering how Stockton performed, no it does not. He looked better than Beck. As I recall, FSU was down to their 3rd string QB who was pitiful.
Penn state might be behind Ohio state due to head to head. There’s a small chance but a chance nonethelessIf Tennessee were looking for any help to make them look better in the eyes of the committee that door has been slammed shut.
