GG was a good low risk late 2nd round investment. I liked the pick last summer. I like it more now. Probably would be a top 5 pick in this year’s draft. Or at least in the lottery.

Doesn’t nullify the Roddy, Zaire, and Laravia picks and the assets that the King gave up to acquire them.

When Kleiman makes measured moves at the margins and let's the draft board play out and moving in/at at measured pace, he has done a good job.

When he has veered away from that approach, the results have been a disaster (Winslow, Ziaire, Roddy, Jake, Smart)

Youngest player in the draft. 5 star talent. It was a risk worth taking that seems to be working out well.

Ja - Let draft board play out
BC - Let board play out and moved late 2nd to move up 2 spots
Santi - Gave up a second to move up a few spits
Bane - Gave up 2 seconds
Vince and GG - Let board play out

Right here 6/6 when staying put or attaching light assets

Ziaire - No need to beat that dead horse
Winslow - Same
Jake - 2 firsts, including Kessler, for him
Roddy - Melton for him
Conley - Necessary swing but well done

Of the 5 big swings, they are 1/5 and that one wasn't as much a big swing as a forced transaction....

Smart is a whiff, don’t think there’s a way around it. Maybe “early” but that’s not going to work.

winslow was so bad I forgot about it

Kleiman did a great job with Conley deal. He has done good getting value at the margins and properly monetizing that value. (That"s why I dont mock the 2nd round picks)

He has a 0% success rate on his 5 big swings since Conley. That, plus injuries, is why we are tanking this year.

What a bad year in Memphis hoops. Grizz have all time greatest injury bug and the college team’s coach is on his way to being Finched.
