Your Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Thread III

At a minimum, this team needed to consolidate its wings and create space to sign players that can contribute. You have $16M next year dedicated to 3 guys who won't play in the playoffs (Konchar, Ziaire, Jake). That's money that could be used for a capable backup for a brittle PG (and not bargain bin washed guys like DRose) and a big to play alongside Jaren in certain matchups (i.e., see how JJJ had issues with Drummond last night).

Team appears that they will pick a big or 2 from the DRose bargain bin, use their pick, and run it back. Which will be fine until Ja acts up or gets hurt again...

And in 2 years, Jaren will depart because team won't go into tax to pay him.

I dont see that. I see where the Grizz get a 2026 first round pick swap (Right now, Phoenix keeps the least favorable of the Wizards, Magic, or Suns pick)...
Can't remember where I saw it (Twitter I believe), but 2 of the 3 2nd rounders are coming from Memphis

In July 2023, the Grizzlies traded 3 2nd round picks to Phoenix for 2 first round pick swaps (2024, 2030)

Some of the 2nd round picks Phoenix sent to Brooklyn yesterday was those they got from Grizzlies in July 2023 deal...

The Grizzlies got a 2026 1st round pick swap and the expiring salary cap filler for Roddy yesterday.

Have you tried the fluid ticketing yet, @BigOrangeMojo?

I had 8 games credited back and I was able to upgrade to really awesome seats for 3 upcoming games. Still have a few credits leftover to apply for a 4th one.

That makes sense then. PHX gave up 2 of the 3.
