Zach Rogers

No, no, no. He is Austin's brother and he is caucasian. That is absolute evidence that he can't possibly be a good football player.

Until he proves himself I'll lump him in the pile with his older brother. I thought his brother would be okay coming out looking at his film but obviously he didn't turn out. Zach's highlight tape show a tad more speed but that's about it.

Just finished looking at more film. Why are we recruiting this guy? He would do good to go to a WAC or MAC school. I could see him at BYU. He won't play here. His brother won't play next year so the dream of playing with his brother is over. I give him one year and he'll transfer. Sorry but its the truth.

Go ahead an lump every recruit on this this board into that category then.

The Rogers just don't have it. Sorry. Would love to see the kid go play for BYU or Tulsa. Would do himself some good at a school like that.

So one minute you'll give him the benefit of the doubt "until he proves himself" but now he doesn't have it based on your watching of Rivals videos?

I'm not sure if its the lack of player development in the Fulmer era or the emergence of the laptop recruiting coordinators that has waned my overall interest in recruiting.

Sorry. I didn't say he can't play. He just can't play in the SEC. I want to see him get open against the young Florida corners or get open against the Georgia corners. If he can't do that then I don't want him here. From watching his tape he's only an average athlete. He's playing against some terrible players so he should look good. But he can play just not here. Don't you think its a reason Florida and Bama didn't offer him?

can't figure out how we keep our offer with rogers and not boyd....hell he;s a better ath thaan rogers even if he is a qb

We kept our offer for Boyd, Boyd decommitted on his own, Kiffin was honest with him and told him that he didn't think he would fit too well in his system.

I really don't see giving this kid a scholarship, I may tell him to walk on and try to earn one. Can he return kicks or punts?

Please explain.

Not much to explain, I don't see him being any better than what his brother is and IMO his brother is average at best. If I were the coach I would tell him he can walk on and if he does well he can earn a scholarship.

He puts his brother to shame.

That's true. Zach is a flat out burner.

You really think he's that fast? Man please I guess his brother is too. They both supposedly run a 4.4 40. He won't run by any of the SEC DBs. I wish we had never offered him. He won't be an impact player here and with that being said he shouldn't have been offered. Players of his caliber are the reason why we are in the situation we're in now.

I wasn't overly impressed when I saw him but he does have good speed and has good instinct when he gets the ball. He won't be the fastest guy on the field but he does have the speed to compete in the SEC.

David Lipscomb's Zach Rogers, The Tennessean's boys track athlete of the year who is also a star football player, won the state 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and long jump titles, and anchored the winning 800-meter relay team.

I'd say he is pretty fast.

No, no, no. We dont want facts. Lockdown has already used an extensive evaluation process and he says the guy should be playing at Austin Peay. Leave those facts about his speed out of the equation please.

Your outside of your mind. Good hands, solid route running and speed are what makes a rcvr. He has all three.
