How many wins does JG have as a starter?
People acting like JG is an all SEC QB...he's not...he's average....but y'all keep making excuses for him.

Who knows if Chryst will be a good option? Who knows if JG will be any better? QB is a position of great uncertainty and concern. JG is small and holds on to the ball too long-- potentially a recipe for disaster with our OL issues. We need to bring in a big pro-style QB, and if Chryst is the best available, he's our guy. If JG beats him out and stays healthy, even better.
I don't disagree with your overall point ... but I would not call JG "small."
JG's tall, but he could stand to add some bulk. Maybe he will under the new S&C coach. Chryst has 35 lbs on him, in addition to more experience. I'm not advocating one QB over the other-- just observing that the coaches are looking at bigger, stronger players in general and experienced pro-style QBs, specifically.
Just like I said during the QD JG debate last year... I couldnt care less who is the QB as long as the best man is playing. Bring this cat in and let him compete, because neither QB on campus has locked this thing down
only if you mean "we will have the same arguments over and over again"I don't think it is even remotely locked down by anyone. With a new system everyone is on equal footing, and arguably, Chryst would have the experience advantage coming from a pro-style offense and being 5th year.
Flip side: I think that anyone drawing conclusions about JG's talent from last year's play is probably fooling themselves. Dude was a RSFR playing football on the deck of the Titanic while captained by Gilligan and the skipper. Remember how different Crompton looked from JR to SR year? JG could easily have a similar path with proper coaching. At the least, it should be an interesting off-season.
