'10 CA ATH Ronald Powell

sources say five-star defensive end Ronald Powell from Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde still has to be considered a strong lean to USC.

Says it looks like a Florida/USC battle with the Trojans with the edge.

UF feels good because they have DE talent going to the NFL after this season. I think we do also.

J Smith and Copeland in this class ensure that he will not be the only focus of blockers with an extra RB if he comes here and develops a great rush.

TN has tradition in Doug Atkins, Reggie White, Leonard Little, Jonathan Brown, Shane Burton, Sean Ellis, Omari Hand, Parys Haralson, Turk McBride and on a crap team win's wise Robert Ayers made it to the NFL in the first round.

If R. Powell sees what TN has coaching wise and how it appears that Walker, G Williams and Martin are resurrected from the dead NFL wise and they are a disruptive force under Monte and Orgeron, I think there is a very real possibility we get him.

We have 0 chance.

If i were in the negative recruiting business regarding Florida and DE's i'd just float out Jarvis Moss...

As we seemingly h ave no chance i hope he goes to USC so we don't ever see him on the field against us until after new years

“Right now the two I’m talking to the most is USC and Florida,” Powell said. “Those have been my top two for a while.”

“There are several schools still really recruiting me hard,” Powell said. “Tennessee is really coming on strong. It’s a program I will take a look at.”

“Monte is one of the best in the business,” Powell said. “It would be a great opportunity to play for him. I like the excitement Coach Lane Kiffin is building at Tennessee.”

Per Scout...

"I haven't really talked to Tennessee, but we'll see," Powell said. "I've heard good things about Tennessee. I've heard from some of the guys like Markeith Ambles and Jesse Scroggins and they really liked it. Coach O and Monte Kiffin have such good reputations. That is definitely a plus for Tennessee."

"I'd like to see Tennessee," Powell said. "I'd like to check things out. It's a high possibility that I'll be visiting Tennessee."

Per Rivals... Ambles is everywhere for the Vols...

We have 0 chance.

We offered first and we are probably getting an official...

But I guess I should scratch him off.

We have even less chance with him than we do with Janzen Jackson who is going to LSU, Bryce Brown whose girlfriend is already taking him to his school and Nu'Keese Richardson who is headed straight for UF....

Unless you are Ronald Powell deciding to post under a Volnation ID, you beclown yourself when you say we have 0 chance.

Thanks Vader, alot of positive quotes for us. Hope we can get a visit. Getting a visit is always a positive.

"For the guru(s)
Since we have less than a month till NSD. How many scholarships do we have left, with your best guess who would you think will be the last commits.

I usually am subscribed to the sites but this year with money needed elsewhere I didnt. Normally around this time I have a pretty good guess of who it will be."

The above is a quote from head1 from last year illustrating that he is talking out of his you know what when he says "no chance" and "book it" on Powell.

Head did you come up with the money this year to pay for insideusc.com?

Ronald Powell has not decided where he is going to school. This staff is never out of it until the papers are signed. You do not know what you are talking about when you say we have no chance.

I loved the book it program, it gave me lots of free pizza from Pizza Hut after my summer reading lists were completed.

Powell has not decided. We offered him first. He said he would like to take an official to us. If we thump UCLA and look like we are close to being able to beat UF, we can get him. It is not UF or USC because neither of them will offer him as he examines the depth chart the chance to play as early or as often.

I would say we have a 1% chance of landing him...

That being said, he WILL end up at either USC or UF and arguing otherwise is idiotic.
