Personally I think Rettig is not a bad option but Scroggins would probably help pull Bailey, Ambles, Prater, and top lineman so thats the main reason I want him more than Rettig

Not necessarily...Tyler Bray stated that the USC staff told HIM that without Scroggins it would be between him and Rettig

Monkey Stomp huh? As a fellow poster said, I would worry more about winning a conference championship before setting your goals any higher?

You may not know this or not but due to recent incidents, there is quite a large bullseye on your program that would make a Target Store jealous

The USC program is under a magnifying glass and we just have to deal with Slick Rick whining all the time across the freeway.

If we win a conference championship it would mean something as there are other worthy teams in our conference. We play in the conference whose champions win national championships. And, you are tied with us on total number of BCS championships.

At some point, you guys will get tired of being a team that has so much talent, but so few national championships--and recruits like Jesse will start going elsewhere after realizing you don't win NC's if you play in the Pac 10. But, you do get to beat whatever weak sister 'conference champion' the Big 10 produces every year in the Rose Bowl.

I should add that the Pac 10 champ only gets to beat up the Big 10 champ in the Rose Bowl when it DOES NOT have national championship implications.

We all know that USC has not done a thing since PC took over and we are lucky to be invited to any bowl game or National Championship game that we can get!!:good!:

where do you see UT's record this year and what bowl would you like to see them in?

No. We all know USC has no more BCS national championships than does Tennessee despite having vastly superior talent for the past several years.

We all know USC plays in a far weaker football conference thus making a conference championship less meaningful.

I said nothing about UT's 2009 season since neither Rettig nor Scroggins would be a part of it.

What matters more to them is what Tennessee will be when they are leading the team... and, by leading, I don't mean a role on the sidelines shouting encouraging words to Barkley and Corp for the first four years on the squad.

I think this kid is flying way under the radar and could be a star at a place like UT. I say we offer him regardless of where Scroggins goes...we don't want to wait and have that be a factor in not getting him.

Agreed. Sign him now - it won't affect Scroggins in the least IMO.

If he isn't scared of USC's depth chart, Rettig won't cause him concern.

Then, if you do get Scroggins to sign, you beat USC to their first AND second QB choices.

Sometimes I get the feeling you just enjoy picking fights with posters that are fans of other schools. There really is no way you can compare where USC is right now with where we are. I wouldn't go down that path personally.
