'10 GA WR Markeith Ambles - USC Commit

I wish we could send his interview to every single kid we're recruiting. He sounds like he's the kind of kid that gives a glowing review to everywhere he sees though.

I thought it was weird that he commented how surprised he was to learn what kind of offense we'd be running.

"I didn't know that they were going to be running that kind of offense," Ambles said. "I think it sets you up to play at the next level. I didn't know the coaches were going to be like that. I want to play for coaches like that."

I don't care if the kid got in a fight. I see that as a good thing. As long as he didn't have a gun, or sell drugs, or sexually assault a relative(or anyone else for that matter). I got into fights in high school, but I don't have character issues. Fighting is deeply ingrained in our DNA. We need this kid.

Article in the AJC...

But the positive impression made by Volunteers coach Lane Kiffin that weekend remains fresh on the 6-foot-3, 185-pound wide receiver’s mind.

“I think he’s pretty cool,” said Ambles, who currently hold just over 30 scholarship offers. “He’s different from all the other coaches.

“I like him. I think he’ll change that program a little bit. And I like the offense they’re going to run, the pro style like Southern Cal.”

Ambles went on to proclaim that he’ll make another trip to Knoxville.

speculation based on comments he's made publicly.

I'd say USC/UF/Oklahoma/UT are the four most serious players at this stage. I'd put OU fourth behind the other 3 because of location and atmosphere outside of football.

I live like 5 minutes from this kid's school. If we are still major players come fall, I will definitely try to make it to a couple of his games.

He doesn't have huge size like Calvin Johnson or Julio Jones, but he just looks so fluid and catches the ball without breaking stride. And 6'2 is still pretty good height for a receiver.

I wonder how he feels about UGA not offering him? I know that would kinda piss me off. Every big time school in the country has offered him, but his home state school hasn't.

Well, if it was me, I would sign with Tennessee just to rub it in Georgia's face...

That wouldn't sit to well with me and if they offered late I wouldn't give them the time of day.

I hope he keeps UT in his top picks of schools.

If we get a big time QB,I say that will mean a lot in the minds of all the players that we are trying to grt.

Ambles and Clemson commit Martavis Bryant were both in attendance today for the weekend clinic. That would be a stellar combo of speed and size.

"I've been hearing from coach Kiffin and his staff for awhile, but I already knew quite a bit about Tennessee," Ambles said of recruiting and the Vols. "I went up there for camp last summer and then I made an unofficial visit for the Florida game.

"I've talked to the coaches about coming up there and checking things out now with the new staff," Ambles said of his plans. "Right now I would say I'll be up there in May or June. I don't know if I'll go to a camp or kind of just pop in for a day but I plan on making it up.

"As far as the campus and the stadium and what I've seen so far, I like it a lot. The game day environment and all that was great. It was really loud."

per new rivals article about him that came out today
