They still are and have been the team to beat all year imo. With a QB or not that team is stacked.

You won't beat UF with him. Uf has Tebow, Bama has Mcelroy. Both teams are fairly equal except at the most important position on the field.

Bama has better receivers and a better backfield, hands down. In addition, a better coaching staff. Also, better hope Sleezebow doesn't have to air it out with Bama dropping guys back. He is good for a couple picks when he isnt running QB dives for 4 yeards a pop.

Some teams have very little ability to develop QBs. Bama has traditionally been one of those teams. The talent is there-McElroy, McCarron, Jackson, and next year, Sims. I think we see how position coaching can bring out the best in players. Bama just cannot seem to get it done at QB.

I was thinking about that yesterday. I wasn't thinking about Alabama's lack of ability but more so Nick Saban. From what I remember he has never developed a QB. At LSU they won with Muack?, he was a 'dont screw up the game QB'. That is the type Saban likes, he wins with everything else. I really don't see the appeal as a QB to go to a Saban program. Now if I was a DB that would be a different story.

McCarron might be the better of the two, but the only way he will see the field this season is if GMac gets hurt. This way they can redshirt him this season and in the spring him and Sims will probably be putting the pressure on GMac for next fall. The is the first time in a while since we will actually have talent battling at the QB position. Remember GMac is a first year starter this season so I can live with what he has done so far.

This still does nothing for the fact that you guys can not develop an elite QB. You get a pass on JPW because he was from the previous coaching staff. No excuse for GMac unless they want to say he was not recruited by Satan. Satan did recruit Star and his upside would have been better if he had gone to any other school. QB's and Receivers go to bama to die. If Star does no produce when his time comes that will be a ringing indictment against the way you guys develop skill position players. I have said before Julio received better coaching out of high school than he did at bama, how else do you explain the drop in production. Sims if you reading this you need to look at the history. One name for you Peyton Manning come be a Vol and lets make history.

Your WR's do not impress me at all. You do have better RB's though.

I don't see how Alabama beats us if we don't turn the ball over.

He is not a Bama fan,

Bama and UF will be a toss up. Niether team has to have the others help to win really. UF has strengths that Bama doesn't, and Bama has some that UF doesn't. Both are good for different reasons.

I would give a slight edge to UF right now. Solely based on QB play.

lol GMAC is a one year starter and crompton is a two year starter. We both know who is the better qb right now. Earlier in the season ut fans wanted cromptons head. Developing qb's. 9-0

Lets go with three names. K Stabler, J. Namath, B Starr. By the way not only did they win a NC while at UA they won Super Bowls to. Sorry P Manning didn't even win a college champ. When you are going to bring smack bring it better. Atleast know a little about football.
