'10 TN OL James Stone

As if the kids didn't know in every single other exchange they had that the coaches had the same objective...
So, you can pay to come down and kick-it with the coaches for 2 days or save your money and kick-it with your friends at home?
Brilliant idea...:tease2:

It was brilliant enough to get a dozen + top prospects to come for it. Give credit where it's due. Blind homerism is annoying.

Those guys were on to something for sure. To bad we didn't think of it.

I'm a blind homer, now...because I think it's on the cheesy side and a much better decision to go to camp instead of kickin' it with the coaches?...they're freakin adults for Pete's sake. Men in their 40's and 50's just Kickin' it with a group of teenager's. Yeah...pure brilliance.

There is a reason coaches have visitors "Kick It" with kids their age already on the team while they are in.

Dude Gus was in high school like 4 years ago. He probably still thinks he needs to get a hall pass to get his players out of class.

Personally, I think the whole concept of getting all cozy-like with a dozen teen-age boys has a creepy feel to it. It's not a brilliant idea, nor is our shirt-ripping stunt. At best it's downright cheesy...and I don't care if USC did it before. If I'm a kid's father, there's something eery about 40-50yr old men ripping their shirts off in front of my boy.
Call it bonding or whatever, it still is creepy

They haven't done anything to hurt LSU yet. I wouldn't mind that so much either, but I think we are going to hurt LSU this year and in the future as much, if not more, than any program. That's my hope at least.:)

Yea they haven't done anything yet. I was just noting that Aurburn is in the lead for the 2 top prospects on LSU's board. The on the field production might change their minds though...

Sounds like we made a strong impression on Stone. I still think Bama is going to be tough competition. He is one of our must get prospects. The defensive guys just blew up the offensive guys today

Just from a perception standpoint Stone is important and it is a position of need......if you are going to lock down TN...you have to get Stone...

do you think that jacques being in his ear all day today has had any affect?

I bet it did, but we won't know it for sometime, IMO. I don't look for him to do anything until after his senior season. I haven't seen where he wants to get things done quickly.

JB said a couple of weeks ago that he expects Stone to have a decision by the end of summer...

I bet stone committed yesterday...they said he stayed late after camp.

I don't think he commited but he was really getting a big push from the staff and from Smith though.

Here what Jacques Smith had to say.
“I was talking to him a lot. I was telling him after practice ‘You need to go ahead and commit today.’ I know he loved it today.”

I think he likes the recruiting process and wants to experience the best he can, I believe he will committ to UT eventually although ND scares the bejesus out of me when they go after a prospect.

IMO Tennessee has already made more of a dent in Louisiana than Bama has despite Saban living in this state basically since he got that job.

We will have to wait and see with Auburn. Long way to go on those players.

I think Stone will be a Vol. If there is a school to watch it is Alabama. There is a coach at his HS that needs to be watched closely.

Better be careful with the "needs to be watched closely" comment. You may be called upon to make a public apology:birgits_giggle:
