'10 WA QB Jake Heaps

WTF are you talking about? We have a commitment from one of the top 100 players already and it's a dead period. Wait until the coaches actually have a chance to go out on the road before you say we are getting slaughtered. We haven't missed on anyone we had any sort of shot at. That's not getting slaughtered. Stupid comments like these are why you keep getting banned.

You're right. We do. But Bama has 3 all ready. Florida has 7. We have one.

You need to tell everyone in the 'we are getting killed in recruiting thread' they are going to be banned too. If you go by the numbers, we are getting killed.

let us not forget that those coaches have actually proven they can win but i am so sure that once these recriuts see our style of offense and defense i am most certain that they we will get our players.

"if you build it they will come"

You do realize NSD is NEXT February, right? The lack of patience with some "fans" is astounding, and honestly sad, sometimes. This staff pulled together a Top 10 class this year in about a month, and thats with losing 4-star recruits like O. Charles, M. Brown and that WR that went to UM. Once recruits get to see the product on the field succeed, it will sell itself. This doom and gloom about recruiting is crazy. Other coaching staffs have been building relationships with these 2010 kids for a minimum of 2 years....our staff has had 2-3 months tops. Id rather get commits in February when it counts....not now when they have a year to change their mind. We will get good players, especially if we get in the 8-9 win range next year. Have some faith. Saying we are getting "killed" in recruiting is silly, especially after we just signed the #1 player in the country in our last class. Jeez.

Star Jones is probably going to get moved to WR by the end of this year according to Bama fans, and they say McCarron is at least 3 years from being an SEC caliber player.

At this point, they say a walk on is their 2nd string QB.

judging by this video it's gonna be a long year for bammer if they've got her catching passes for them.

No, he really doesn't.

He doesn't have a clue that we're in the ears of a ton of recruits and that many of them are loving what they hear about Tennessee right now. No clue about how once the dust starts settling on recruiting for other schools that some really stud prospects are going to see big time opportunity to play at Tennessee, and play early. Guys on the offensive and defensive lines, QB, DB, and WR/TE especially will definitely start seeing us in a different light in a few months and we'll start landing some commitments then.

quite a few of those committed to schools will be playing at a another school when it comes signing day. So I wouldn't freak out yet. We are in much better standing with recruits now than we were 3 months ago and we just signed a top 10 class. Summary: Relax

Bama was ranked number 1 for much of the season. Florida won the national title. UT went 5-7 and changed coaches. It takes time.

I'm just an intern right now. I'm doing an internship with the NSA, which has been pretty cool, and next I am hoping to do one with the air force.

"Out of my top 10 schools, five are SEC programs and that is because it is big-time football. Alabama is definitely a big time program with a lot going for them. I have a great relationship with Coach (Jim) McElwain and Coach Saban and I like to talk to all of the staffs from the schools that recruit me pretty regularly. I like to have fun with those guys."

"I could fit in down south just as well as I could in the PAC-10. The level of football is very high and I think I would fit in well," said Heaps. "I hope to have a decision by June. I can't say who is recruiting me harder, because once I named my top 10 I thought some teams would sort of pull away and recruit me harder, but all of those schools have picked it up.

"I am 28-0 as a starter with two state championships and I don't like to lose. I have a great understanding of the game and love to study film and dissect the opponent's defense," said Heaps. "I also feel like I am a good field general with lead by example during games."
