'10 WA QB Jake Heaps

That's a great post. If the kid knew where he was going to go for sure, he would just announce it. It's the people like sab, that speak with 100% certainty that bother me.

+1.....with this coaching staff....it aint' over...even if he commits to another school...it's not over till signing day.

Not saying we will get him.....but it's not 100% we won't.

it usually is with quarterbacks. you can say this for the rest of your life if you want to, but there is a .0003% chance we get a quarterback from 3,000 miles away to decommit and commit to us in less than 8 months. so let's hope you are hoping for a commitment to us first.

i'll take the blame for that one...

so getting this kid would be awesome, but it's getting less and less likely each day. but that's okay.

How many of those experts said Oku to TN after following the situation very closely for a long time? These are 18 year old kids, if we knew what they were going to do through interviews and "inside sources", following recruiting wouldn't be any fun.

Exactly!

Tom Luginball, who is the ESPN Scout's director talked about Heaps.

He said he thought BYU is the best fit because of the shotgun offense.

He briefly mentions that Heaps is a top prospect because the QBs (as we known) this year are weaker. He says that there isn't a "Tim Tebow or Jake Locker".

He lastly mentioned that Scroggins overall has more physical tools (though not as polished) than Heaps.

No matter what happens it's going to be good news for us. He is a big domino to fall. The others will fall soon.

Anyone know what time he's announcing tommorrow. The reason why I dont think its here is because he's been here once. He's been to BYU and Udub several times over and over.

Thats what I was just thinking about can't really say he's not going to BYU but if he does he will be making a big mistake.

I think it it will be BYU....... The only thing that even remotely makes me think he may come here is that Kiff would have asked him to wait until the camp was over this week so recruits from the camp could see the staff, get offers from UT and then hear Heaps was coming..I know is a long shot and I am drinking the Kool-aid..

I could see Kiffin telling him something like that.

You'd think knowing Heaps was coming would be more beneficial prior and during camp. He's going to BYU.

But also notice that the best two quarterbacks at camp, Brunetti and Rettig, did not get offered. Both who obviously want a Vol offer, and Brunetti, the in-state talent, yet neither got an offer. Could it be that LaMaison and Heaps are the two quarterbacks of the year? It's a long shot, but who knows?

definitely byu here, new blog on espn says that washington is getting the last visit from nick montana and they are only taking 1 qb. It also mentions that he could commit on the visit.
